Weddings at Two Temple Place
Weddings
Elegant and Unique
Two Temple Place is one of London ’s most exclusive wedding venues. A beautiful
late Victorian mansion built by William Waldorf Astor, the house combines the grandeur of a London mansion with the intimacy of a private home.
Two Temple Place is owned by the charity, The Bulldog Trust and was only licensed for weddings in 2014. All funds generated from the hire of the house contribute to the Trust ’s innovative charitable programmes.
Overlooking the River Thames, the house is a hidden architectural gem and boasts
many beautiful features including a stunning sweeping staircase, stained glass windows, luxurious wood panelling and marble fireplaces. The house is fully licenced
so you can enjoy every aspect of your wedding from ceremony, to wedding breakfast and dancing all under one roof.
Two Temple Place is a elegant and unique wedding venue that will become exclusively yours for the most important day of your life.

Exclusively Yours in the Heart of Central
London
Two Temple Place is a unique venue filled with beautiful and individual features; romantic
stained glass windows, gilded statues tucked under vaulted
mahogany ceilings and grumpy
cherubs make the house one of the most intimate venues in central London.
All hire of the house is on an exclusive use basis, so you can make all our elegant spaces feel
truly your own. Above all, Two Temple Place is a stunning ‘blank canvas’ for you to host the
London wedding that you have always dreamed of. Whether you want to create an intimate
wedding ceremony and dinner for 20, a spectacular 120 guest wedding breakfast in The Great
Hall, or a large standing reception using the whole house for 300, we will work with you to
turn your dreams into reality.

The Staircase
The exceptional mahogany staircase at Two Temple
Place is opulently decorated with carvings of figures
from literature and flooded with natural light from the
stained glass ceiling. This is a truly beautiful area of
the house that shows off Astor’s love of Italy through
the intricate marble, onyx, jasper and porphyry floor,
and the columned green-marble fireplace.
Guests can be welcomed up the magnificent stairs to
the ceremony in The Great Hall with a string quartet,
harpist or choral ensemble tucked under vaulted stairs.
The Staircase and Gallery also offers a fantastic background for photographs and group shots.
4
The Great Hall
The largest space, the stunning Great Hall, is a striking room that extends the whole length of the house with river-front views of the Thames
from every window.
The Great Hall can host up to 150 guests for a wedding ceremony or 120
guests for a wedding breakfast. Magnificent pencil-cedar panelled walls,
stained glass scenes at each end of the room and a fireplace guarded by
2ft wood-nymphs create a luxurious and romantic setting for any wedding.
The room is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and should you require, can be transformed into a beautiful space for your wedding breakfast and speeches while your guests are enjoying drinks and canapés
downstairs in the Lower Gallery.

The Library
The satinwood-panelled Library is adjacent to The Great Hall and can be accessed via a secret concealed door in the panelling. Designed for William Astor as a wholly private retreat, the exceptionally delicate, low relief carving
and recently revealed mahogany floor ensure the room retains the atmosphere of an inner sanctum.
The Library is the perfect space for a hidden after dinner bar or a truly intimate wedding breakfast for up to 30 guests.
6
The Lower Gallery
On the ground floor of the house you will find the Lower Gallery which can accommodate up to 150 guests for standing receptions. A light airy woodpanelled room that works perfectly for after-ceremony drinks and canapés, it is a beautiful space for guests to mingle while The Great Hall is reset for
dinner and can then be turned seamlessly into the location for the first dance and disco after dinner. Alternatively this room can also hold 120 for a
seated wedding breakfast.
