Fine Art Reproductions
Volume I
2006
From the Publisher’s Executive Office
From the vantage point of my second floor office window I follow White
Creek as it slowly winds through the fields. An early morning mist wisps its
way down the gentle hills while a soft light so typical of the Hudson River
paintings tinges the peaks of the rugged Adirondack Mountains. Barns glow
red in the bright sunshine and black and white cows seemingly as old as time
graze in their shadows.
Inspired by the magic of sporting and country life, White Creek Images
brings you the essence of that warm “home” feeling through the artistic
expressions of a select group of very fine artists who have earned a well
deserved reputation in their respective fields. At White Creek Images we are
striving only and always for quality. With an experience of over twenty years
in the art field, we are able to recognize the genius of the artists we represent.
Through this ability and the masterful quality of our in-house printing, we
translate these inspired works into decorative items that while affordable,
still contain the dignity of the original masterwork.
Our product line includes wonderful posters, attractive wall plaques, rich
canvas transfers, quality giclée and wall hangings. Share the artwork’s beauty
with your friends by sending them a personal note on one of our note cards.
After discovering the many wonderful items in our line that have that nostalgic
and cozy country feeling, create with them a special corner in your home
where you will always feel welcomed and “dream a little dream…”

“ The most exciting aspect of the painting experience is the creative
process itself: that spontaneous flow of energy working through the artist,
condensed into form. Each one of my paintings is a momentary pause in
the ongoing expression of who I am...”

“ …Today I love to paint large images as if they were posters using bold
strokes of color combined with bold lyrical fluid lines, so that the
painting itself becomes a physical and exciting act. Sometimes I like
to include lettering to further give it a poster feel.”

“ Photography never changes for me. …I find that a steady composition
and a dramatic light are essential. My inspiration comes from so many
sources, but all need to be life affirming. The earth is a big subject —
the natural vista. I enjoy the physical aspect of photography…often
unexpected magic just happens.”

“ My work method is intricate yet simple. I like my paintings to be well
balanced with structures, patterns and colors. In them I try to express my
impressions of a bygone era of wholesomeness, warmth, and old-fashioned
values. My love for the American flag is evident; I usually have Old Glory
somewhere in my paintings.”

“ My paintings are my emotions; I paint what attracts me. And it is that
incessant search for the visually stimulating that makes this voyage
exciting. While painting places I’ve observed, I enhance my images
through compositional means, bringing them closer to ideals upheld
in a bygone age of painting…

“ I paint the landscape because I live in a beautiful area of Upstate New
York. When I stand out in a field in front of the woods, a pasture or pond
I am stimulated by all the possibilities that present themselves to me —
the colors — the light — the dark shapes. It is all so wonderful and full
of promise.”

“ My desire is to paint beauty and by doing that to provide a moment for
the viewer to transcend the ordinary, to give time for contemplation and
meditation, to allow space for the human spirit. Each piece is a moment
of both stillness and excitement. My paintings are offered as a place to
rest and a time to renew spirit.”

“ …One of the supreme tasks of an artist is to find the beauty in everything
and to portray that beauty with your own inner vision of what makes that
particular scene beautiful. In all of my work my overwhelming goal is to
create paintings that are full of joy; the joy I feel
in having ultimately fulfilled my childhood
dream of becoming an artist. ”

“ Some of a painter’s concerns: subject matter, color sense, key, composition,
scale, and style of representation (figurative or abstract). I use them in
landscape painting to record objects, times and associations, with the hope
that their particular combinations convey individuality, at the very least.”
