Lakehead University I congratulate all
our 2009 graduates including members of the
Charter Class of the Northern Ontario School
of Medicine.
You have every reason to celebrate. With your
parchment in hand, you join the ranks of a
small but growing percentage of the Canadian
population that has completed a university
degree. And with that achievement comes
responsibility. Today, more than ever, we
need university graduates who are capable of
thinking through complex issues, exercising
good judgment, and joining with others to find
sustainable solutions to global problems.
I am confident that Lakehead has given you
the skills and that you will develop the wisdom
needed to accomplish your goals and make
a difference. I urge you to keep in touch with
