Writing Messages on Lantern
Sleeves at 6:00pm.

9-11 WTC Memorial Interfaith
Service at 6:30pm.
In Japan, lighted lanterns are floated down rivers during
the Obon festival in late summer to memorialize those
who have passed away. The NYC Floating Lanterns
ceremony was started by Rev. TK Nakagaki in 2002 to
remember those lost on 9/11. This year, in addition to
remembering the 9/11 victims, we also remember the 3/11
earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster in Japan.
