The four step process is to create a profile, distribute it to passive candidates,
watch them share with their network (as well as respond back), and in the end, get
more quality candidates into the candidate pool. In 2014, millennials became the
largest sector of the labor force. They replaced baby boomers, and out-numbered
Gen-xers. The 25-35 year olds are the core of new hires and text based job
descriptions are not the way to engage with millennials.

Speed Up your Google® Sourcing with
Google Quick Scroll
When sourcing for passive candidates with search engines like Google, it’s
important to be very specific about the skillsets and documents that are needed.
However, once the document is opened, it can be frustrating when those skillsets
aren’t easily identifiable within the document. That’s where Google Chrome’s™
web store comes in to play. Google Chrome offers many apps and extensions to
assist and enhance your Google search experience.
One extension to consider adding to your arsenal is Google Quick Scroll.
It is great for those situations when you are faced with a result dense with
information. You’ve scanned the page for the search criteria, you have even
utilized Ctrl+F to do an in-page search but even that hasn’t provided the desired
insight you’re looking for. Ultimately, you close out of the result and go back to
your search results with the frustration of knowing that you’ve just wasted your
most limited resource – TIME!

Speed Up your Google Sourcing with Google Quick Scroll...continued
Open a result to activate the true functionality of the Google Quick Scroll extension. It will identify multiple occurrences of
a phrase or clusters of the defined keywords occurring close together. Those instances will be displayed in a box that will
appear in the bottom-right hand corner of the web page.
Note that the extension is minimal, non-invasive and doesn’t clutter the web page.
Click on the specific set of keywords to view and the matching criteria will be highlighted on the page so that you don’t
have to manually scan through the page to find it, instantly saving time.
As a bonus, Quick Scroll provides some additional insight into whether or not the result is relevant to what the initial
search was intended for. If the keywords used in the search string do not appear in a cluster or consistently, Quick Scroll
will not activate. This feature also helps sourcers immediately decide whether to review the result or to close it and move
on.
One final note regarding this extension – It is only available for the Google Chrome Browser. However, a Quick Scroll
feature does exist for the Google Toolbar that can be installed for Internet Explorer™ users. Unfortunately, the Google
Toolbar no longer exists for Firefox™.

If you’re not using the Google Chrome® Browser, now might be a really good
time to switch it up. It is no contest that Chrome is really the ultimate dream tool
for online recruiters today. With an abundance of apps and extensions that just
seems to be getting better every day, Chrome seems to have it all available in one
place and for free. Recently, however, Google® has reinvented the way a user can
both manage and share bookmarks and folders that is both innovative and userfriendly.

they are synced to a Gmail®
account. Go to “Settings”
then select “Sign into
