Obeikan Investment Group hosted
diplomatic delegation headed by
Algerian minister of industry Mr.
Sherif Rahmani, accompanied by His

in Riyadh Mr. Abdul Wahab Derbal, and
members of the embassy.
Our CEO Eng. Abdullah Al- Obeikan
gave quick spectrum to the delegation
about OIG current diversified customer
base in Algeria and the products and
solutions we provide to food and
packaging industries. Moreover, he
illustrated OIG future plans to expand
in Algerian markets in particular and
entire North African countries.
During the discussions, both parties
exchanged views on the best practices
to facilitate any barriers to export
more products and reaching more
customers and prospects in Algeria.
The delegation also took a quick
plant tour at Obeikan paper industries
Accompanied by GM Mohamad
Mowkley. All were very impressed by
advanced technologies deployed for
qualitative and scalable production.

Cross Selling Initiative - CSI is Gearing Steadily
Towards Sound Full Objectives
Last week, CSI have concluded the training sessions of
businesses and products awareness among the CSI group
members; Plastic division, Paper and Board Division, SIGCBOB and Elopak.
With one training session in OKA and the other in Dubai, the
participants were able to learn much more about Obeikan
product portfolio and top customers, brilliant ideas were
shared to leverage the business using the group synergy
and expansion:
Qualifying the Obeikan shrink material on CBOB machines:
The idea will generate benefits for Film plant as well as
CBOB by selling more shrink to CBOB customers and get
easier commissioning for CBOB equipment at customers
end
Selling mixed products containers to CBOB customers
overseas: The idea is to use the logistics arm of CBOB
exporting to Africa and combine the stretch material
with CBOB material in same containers which will help
approaching new customers and reducing export shipping
cost
The team interaction was excellent among the group
requesting more events to come

Q- Pulse Implementation at OIG
subsidiaries
In order to maintain growth and
build on previous success, Obeikan
Investment Group identified
an electronic compliance
management system which
would act as framework and
infrastructure to support the
compliance management and
the automation of the quality
systems and processes across
all of the locations for better
standardisation and alignment.
Eng. Abdallah Obeikan CEO of
the group said, “This project
fits in with our plan to increase
automation at all levels for better
standardisation, visibility and
efficiency. This will not only help
in our growth of the business but
will bring employees the benefit
o b e i k a n. co m . s a
of working on more useful and
proficient, value added tasks.’’
Under the direction of Rizwan
Haq Business Excellence Director,
Gael and its Q-Pulse solution
has allowed Obeikan to create
a clearly defined and scheduled
audit programme and associated
audit and auditee teams. With
its pre-prepared checklists and
scope of audits, it has quickened
the auditing process and provided
the capability to measure each
audit’s performance rating and
areas for improvement. The CA/PA
capability of Q-Pulse has been of
huge benefit and has encouraged
ownership and accountability of
actions that have arisen from the
auditing process. Through this,
target dates can be set providing
visibility of actions to their owners
while providing oversight to senior
management.
Rizwan Haq said: “Our Q-Pulse
system has provided Obeikan
Investment Group with improved
visibility throughout the entire
organisation and encouraged a
simple, efficient, common sense
approach. The solution provides
what we require from compliance
management,automation of quality
systems documents and processes,
standardisation, transparency and
accountability”.
