Rover is proud to announce some exciting Fall show wins
for the gang...First up, those crazy fawn littermates Nick
& Natasha (Brad Briscoe) completed two conformation
titles on the same day at the Sir Francis Drake show in
September. Nick was Select Dog to complete his Grand
Championship & Natasha grabbed the major to finish her
AKC Show championship.
The next day, beautiful puppy Tempe (Andrea Meyer) was
awarded a four-point major, shown by none other than her
proud owner/breeder Andrea!

On the racetrack, Miss Jane

earned three more ARX points at our September meets!
Out at Lure Coursing, the Fabulous Freddie (Marrianne Lu &
Robert Lattuga) showed the youngsters that this five-year old

show points. Winning seems to run in this family.

veteran at the AKC Nationals in Romulus and came home with

Coursing: Emily reported that judges have
been booked for the November 17-18 events.
We need a volunteer to pick up Southern
California area judge, Sue Smith, from the
airport. Kellee brought decorated tiles for
BIF prizes.
Website: Guin reported that voting closes
tonight for the Photo Contest & that there
has been an unprecedented number of online
votes.
Racing: Kellee reported that Jean Balint is
on the DL due to a dog walking injury and
will need lots of help for next weekend’s racing in Suisun. The potluck menus are to be
Pulled Pork on Saturday & Mexican on Sunday. Saturday’s Match judge is pending.
Robert reported that the new boxes are almost done!
Old Business: Brad reminded all members
that nominations from the floor will be allowed at the Annual Meeting. The Member

Rescue: Guin reported on Liam, who is a
pending rescue bred by none other than Suzanne Bouzard.

President’s Report: Brad thanked MJ for
another great Specialty! He thanked Donna
for coordinating a legendary luncheon! We
have a busy winter planned, with coursing
the weekend before Thanksgiving & the Holiday Party, which Lenore has agreed to host
again.
Treasurer’s Report: Kellee reported that we
have a lot of money currently!

Lure Coursing: Russell reported that the premium lists will be sent out
by the end of the weekend. Thank you in advance to all our helpers
who need to be at the field by 7:30 AM. Our judges for the weekend
are to be Kathy Kelly, Jayme Jones & Sue Smith.
Racing: Jean reported that she already has a ton of great prizes for
next June fro m the Auction today. The September meets were great
due to all the help from Club members. Thanks to Brad, Russell, Kim,
Rick, and all of our helpers. Don McGuire asked about how our new
boxes were coming along. Kellee reported that Robert completed the
boxes at the beginning of October, Marrianne painted them, and the
metal door was currently being fabricated.

Rescue: Guin reported that we were supposed to get a new rescue,
Sophia, from Santa Maria, yesterday, but due to an illness, the hand
off was rescheduled to next week. We probably already have an awesome home for Sophia.

Old Business: The Nominating Committee, headed by MJ, read the
nominees for2013 Officers. Brad asked if there were any nominations
from the floor. There were none. The slate was accepted by acclimation.

New Business: MJ brought up the fact that our 2013 Specialty judge,
Iva Kimmelman, did not thoroughly read her contract and is having
an issue with judging for a flat fee, as opposed to expenses. In order to
keep Iva as out judge, we need to find someone to house her for the
weekend, and pick her up and return her from the airport. This person
cannot show to her. If this person cannot be found, we will have to
ask out second place judge nominee, Lou Guerrero, to judge for us
instead of Iva. We will need a volunteer by the December meeting.
The next meeting was scheduled for Sunday, December 9th at the
Holiday Party at Lenore’s in Oakland. Brags commenced! Ed reminded all that the clean-up Committee is made up of everyone at the
meeting.
