They have two levels of recognition. The Student of the Year Scholarship is valued at $200. Students must compete both within their building and at the district level to receive this scholarship. The Outstanding Career Education Student Scholarship is valued at $100. Students are nominated by their program teacher and compete at the district level for these scholarships. All of these students are actively involved in their Career Education program, school and work opportunities. Congratulations students! This newsletter is produced to: highlight the accomplishments of our students, share the excellent educational opportunities available to Akron Public Schools’ students, develop an awareness of community contributions by the Career Education programs, and inform and build partnerships with our community members. We hope you find this newsletter helpful and informative. This newsletter is funded by the federal Carl D. Perkins grant. No state or local taxes used.
