December 2015 Williamson County 4-H Newsletter Scholarship News 4-H Foundation Scholarship Application Deadline: January 14th, 2016 Due to Williamson County Office TAE4-HA Scholarship Application Deadline: May 15th, 2016 Due to Milam County Office 4-H Enrollment 4-H Enrollment started August 15th. All enrollment is completed via 4-H Connect. To access 4-H Connect visit https://texas.4honline.com. To maintain the level of programming and opportunities in the Texas 4-H and Youth and Development Program, an annual participation fee is implemented for each 4-H member (excluding Clover Kids). As of November 1st, the participant fee is $25. All Volunteers who enroll will be charged an annual $5 fee. This fee covers your screening for the year. For instructions on how to enroll, please download the 4-H Family Help Sheet on the 4-H Connect portal page. *In order to show at the WCLA & Major Shows you must be signed up in 4-H Connect. For the month of December Thrall 4-H Club was selected. Congratulations to all participants and award winners that participated in the Williamson County Youth Exposition. Thrall’s mayor, Troy Marx, gave a presentation to the 4-H members about what it takes to run a municipality. He talked briefly about the history of Thrall and then talked about regulations, requirements, tax revenues, volunteer opportunities and much more. The kids were very engaged and had great questions. Mallory Randig Breed Champion-Hamp Cade Talley 2nd Place Cookies For the holiday season, Thrall 4-H Club donated $100 of funds and toys to Thrall ISD Giving Tree. They celebrated the holiday season with a Christmas party at Gatti’s Pizza. Thrall’s 4-H Club will hold regular meetings on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1900 N.
