JLC is a camp led BY teens, FOR teens! Junior Leadership Conference is open to 4-Hers who are 14 years and older. This year’s travel-themed workshop tracks include topics such as service learning, leadership, outdoors, healthy living, performing arts, and science/engineering/technology. JLC will take place at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock on March 11-13. Registration is $80 and due by January 27th. Demo Day Jan. 29 Now is the time to prepare for Demonstration Day. Remember, a demonstration is teaching others “how to.” Categories include arts and crafts, food, and S.E.T. Public Speaking and Illustrated Talk categories will also be offered. Each category will have Junior/Senior divisions. Contact your Club Leader for more information. Attention teens (ages 16 years and older): Would you like a FREE trip to Washington, DC on June 11-17, 2016? To apply, complete the application and write a formal letter to an elected official voicing your opinion on any issue, problem, situation, or success. The Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (ALEC) will sponsor up to two 4-H members for this outstanding opportunity. Contact the 4-H Office for full contest rules and guidelines. Entries must be submitted by February 1st. **Registration for the N. Region Shooting Sports Match is due by Monday, February 1st.** We need YOU….to be our Morehouse 4-H will be hosting a collection drive during the month of February. Please consider donating individually wrapped bags of candy to be used in Easter baskets for local children in foster care. Items will be donated to C.A.S.A. of Northeast LA.
