ST. ANDREW CHURCH
COLUMBUS, OHIO
ST. ANDREW PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
St. Andrew Church is a community of Catholics
committed to serving God by living our faith. We exist
to fulfill the mission of the Roman Catholic Church at
the local level by continuing the saving work of Christ.
We accomplish this through the celebration of the
sacraments, proclaiming and living the Gospel, reaching
out to others in justice and charity, and providing all
parishioners abundant spiritual, educational, and social
opportunities in order to be known as a faith-filled,
engaged, and generous parish.
Email addresses can be found on the parish website, www.standrewparish.cc.

PENTECOST SUNDAY
MAY 24, 2015
2015 St. Andrew Parish Council Candidates
Elections May 30 & 31
Jeremy Amweg
I have been a member of the parish since 2009. I am married to Christina and we have two children,
Anthony and Leonardo. My involvement with the parish includes the Knights of Columbus, Pre-Cana
and also a parish festival volunteer. I have 7 years of experience in accounting and finance management.
For 9 years, I have been running an entertainment booking company in which I communicate and
coordinate musicians for clients and events. As a member of the Parish Council, I would like to help
improve strategic planning and aid in decision making to assist our pastor.
Marilyn Dougherty
I have been a member of the parish for 19 years with my late husband Jim. I have 5 children, nine
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I am the past president of the Society of St. Vincent de
Paul, member of the the Women’s Club, a Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, fish
fry volunteer coordinator and on the festival planning committee. My work experience includes being
a nurse and teacher. I would like to further the cooperation of the parish organizations, increase
communication with the parish and increase spiritual growth within the parish.
David Lim
I am a lifelong member of the parish for 32 years. I am a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus
and my parish involvement includes being in the choir and a cantor. I have also been involved with the
youth group and Catholic Youth Summer Camp. I am employed as an operational manager for IGS
Energy. My skills and experience are in business, team building, research and networking. I would like
to plan events and other involvement opportunities that increase our contribution to the community
and get younger people more involved in the parish.
Mary Smart
I have been a member of the parish since 2003. I have a son, Jimmy, who attends Upper Arlington High
School. The parish festival started my involvement in the parish. I am active with the Parish School of
Religion as a helper and serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. I am a paralegal with
many years experience in human resources. I also work for Step By Step Academy as the Director
of Human Resources. My experience will bring strong organizational and communication skills to the
council. I would like to help focus on balancing the needs of the church and our faith community by
looking at creative solutions to those needs.
Amy Tague
I am married to David and have four children. They have attended St. Andrew School, Bishop Watterson
and St. Charles. I am a certified dog trainer and have owned my business for seven years. I am
also a race announcer for events in the area. My parish involvement includes serving on the Liturgy
Committee as a lector trainer and training Altar Servers. I am a member of the choir, a Parish School
of Religion 6th grade teacher, a Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and recently
my husband and I joined the Pre-Cana team at St. Andrew. I would like to increase the faith life of our
parish and aid our pastor to promote growth for our future.
