Bag with: 4 BM8x20, 4 spacers 5mm
LEGEND:
The initials BM or CM or MS indicate the type of screw is provided (see photo below).
The value that follows the symbol indicates the screw thread.
Screw length is expressed by the value shown after the "x".
Example 1: BM6x15 = cylinder head bolt, M6 (Tapped 6), 15mm length.
Example 2: CM8x25 = domed head bolts M8 (Tapped 8), 25mm length.
Example 3: SM6x10 = countersunk bolt, M6 (Tapped 6), 10mm length.
COMPONENTS:
Bearing
Cylinder head bolt
(BM6-BM8-BM10)
Domed head bolts
(CM6-CM8-CM10)
Countersunk bolt
(SM6-SM8-SM10)
REARSET RISER MOUNTING:
1. Fix the rearset riser mounting before the spacers, provided in the bag with the hexagonal screws,
on the bushing protruding from the chassis.
2. Insert the rearset riser on the bushing, and place it against the spacer already mounted.
3. Place the washers in ergal into the slot on the rearset riser.
4. Tighten everything using one of screws with hexagonal head supplied in the kit.
5. For brake side finish locking of rearset riser (below) with a BM10x70, a spacer 43mm, and some
washers between the spacer and the chassis.
6. For gear side finish locking of rearset riser (below) with a BM10x80, a spacer 47mm, and some
washers between the spacer and the chassis. There are two holes and two slots for the screws,
depending on the model in different years. Choose the right hole to keep the screw perpendicular
to the chassis.
7. Insert the washers supplied with the kit between the spacers and the chassis.
In the kit there are 8 washers, which you can insert between the spacers and the chassis. The washers
are more than those you need, but they are essential because of the possible difference in
measurements between a motorcycle and the other, in relation to the different positions of the engine
and the chassis cylinder.
Lock the top of the rearset riser and insert the washers until you get a perfect locking.
On the gear side you must lock the kick-stand plate with the BM10x20.
On the brake side you can close the hole let loose with the SM10x10, that you must insert in the spacer
with countersink.
GEAR PEG MOUNTING:
1. Fix the base of the peg to the rearset riser with 2 BM8x20 in their slots, and 2 spacers 5mm
between the base and the rearset riser to space the rearsets. Tighten the screws on the rearset
riser depending on the setting you prefer.
2. Turn the bearing screwed to the pin chassis, placing it frontally, and unscrew the nut and the
screw originals that locked the bearing (they do not need more).
3. Lock the bearing by inserting the CM6x25 and the spacer 4mm between it and the pin chassis.
The spacer will enter into the slot already present on the pin. Conclude the mounting using the
self-locking nut on the back.
4. Fix the shift rod by choosing the appropriate extension to the setting. Screw the extension in the
shift rod from the correct side in the right thread *, and secure with a nut supplied.
5. Finally, screw the shift rod with the extension between the two bearings, one of the chassis and
one of the peg. Tighten the nuts to lock the rod.
* Please note, the thread at either end of the rod is different, so it is advisable not to use excessive force
during screwing and control the rights side of the extensions, so that the thread can be damaged.
BRAKE PEG MOUNTING:
1. Secure the base of the peg to the rearset riser with 2 BM8x20 in their slots, and 2 spacers 5mm
between the base and the rearset riser to space the rearsets. This is necessary in order to prevent
the brake pump touches the swingarm. In the bag there are other 8 washers, to add to the
spacers in case the brake pump is still too close to the swingarm. Unfortunately not all bikes have
the central axis aligned perfectly and that is why there may be differences in distances.
2. Tighten the screws to the rearset riser depending on the setting you prefer.
3. For the oil pump you must first insert the pin, screwed to the bearing, in the pump slot.
Depending on the setting of the pin you can change the height of the brake lever.
4. Lock the oil pump at the base of the peg with 2 CM6x30, and insert between the base and the
pump the 2 spacers and the washers, supplied already screwed to peg.
5. The two washers supplied with the screws should be placed between the screw heads and the
brake pump. This is an aesthetic feature, but you can decide not to use the two washers.
* For more external adjustments you can replace the original tube with a longer one, which can be
executed without problems from a mechanic.
ANY PASSENGER EXTENSION MOUNTING:
Mount the passenger extensions at the base of the single-seat rearset with 4 BM8x20 and 4 spacers
(two per side), insert them into the appropriate slots and tighten at the base.
The passenger extensions have two adjustments to facilitate a better position of the passenger
depending on setting of the rearsets of the pilot.
The heel guards can be mounted only with single-seat setting.
HEEL GUARDS MOUNTING:
To fixing the heel guards you must use the SM6x10 and screw them at the base of the peg, inserting
the 4 spacers between the peg and the heel guards.
