Situated in the historic Blodgett Building, Gallery Divani has established
itself as one of Grand Rapids' hidden gems.
Our Private Dining Room features a contemporary, urban haven with

EVENT ETIQUETTE AND POLICIES
EVENT AGREEMENT and DEPOSIT
 THE GALLERY: A signed Event Agreement and $250 deposit is required to book your event. Your deposit is
applied to the final bill.
 SEMI-PRIVATE: A signed Event Agreement and $100 deposit is required to book your event. Your deposit is
applied to the final bill.
PAYMENT TERMS
 One half of the estimated balance is due fourteen (14) days prior to your event. The remaining balance is due
immediately following your event. Payment can be made by Cash, Corporate Check, or Cashier’s Check made
payable to Bar Divani. We also accept all major credit cards.
SALES TAX and SERVICE FEES
 6% Michigan State Sales Tax and 22% Service Fee will be applied to all invoices. Additional service fees may be
assessed for events requiring early set up or for events starting 30 minutes later than contracted. Bar Divani
cannot be held responsible for food quality due to delays of 30 minutes or more than your scheduled time.
 Groups requesting a tax exemption must notify Bar Divani at the time of booking and provide proper
documentation.
CANCELLATIONS
 Should a cancellation be required, your deposit is non-refundable.
 You will also be charged a $100 administrative fee; special circumstances can be accommodated with rebooking within sixty (60) days of cancellation date.
 A cancellation within thirty (30) days of your event will incur a fee equal to 50% of the estimated food charges.
 Cancellations less than five (5) business days prior to your event will be charged the entire amount of the
gross food and beverage sales based on the guaranteed final count.
 Cancellations too late to prevent delivery of any item will be charged the cost of said item(s). All costs
associated with the cancellation of other contracted services will be your responsibility.
ROOM RENTAL RATES and MINIMUMS
 THE GALLERY: $250 or waived for non-profit organizations; $125 for events ending prior to 4 PM WednesdayFriday. There is no room rental fee for Monday and Tuesday events. Events exceeding four hours add $125 per
hour room rental fee.
 Room rental includes black linen tablecloths & napkins, tables & chairs, china, silverware and glassware.
 $50 bar set up fee per bar applies; hourly bartender rates are waived for large parties.
 A $1000 food and beverage minimum is required for events Monday – Thursday; $1500 food and beverage
minimum on Friday and Saturday, $1800 on Sundays except during the month of December and holidays.
December and holiday minimums: $1500 Monday –Thursday; $2500 Friday and Saturday, $2800 Sunday.
 SEMI-PRIVATE: No room rental fee. $250 food and beverage minimum; December, holidays, and select dates:
$500.
Reservations are secured for 2.5 hours. Events requiring more time will incur additional food and beverage
minimums

EVENT ETIQUETTE AND POLICIES
CAPACITIES
 THE GALLERY: 80 seated; 160 for walk around receptions. Capacities vary depending on menu and setup needs .
 SEMI-PRIVATE: up to 20 seated with limited standing room. Capacities vary depending on menu and setup needs .
MENU SELECTIONS and GUEST COUNTS
 Please provide us with your final menu at least one month prior to your event.
 Your final guest count must be communicated at least five (5) business days prior to your event. Guest numbers may
increase up until three (3) business days prior but may not decrease.
DIETARY REQUESTS and FOOD TASTINGS
 We will make every effort to accommodate special dietary requirements. Please make arrangements for this while
selecting your menu.
 Tastings are available for up to four guests, including three entrees/ sides, and are held at Bar Divani. Tastings for
booked clients are complimentary. Clients not yet booked will be charged a $20 per person fee to be applied to your
final bill should you decide to book with us.
FOOD and BEVERAGES




All food and beverage must be supplied and served by our staff.
Alcoholic beverages cannot be served to anyone under the age of 21. Proper identification is required for all guests.
We reserve the right to refuse to serve alcoholic beverages at any time.
Where charges are made on a per person basis, a guaranteed number of attendants must be communicated to us five
(5) business days prior to the event. We will prepare food for the guaranteed number of guests and will bill accordingly
regardless if fewer guests attend.
 Bar Divani reserves the right to portion food as needed in order to control items set out on buffets.
 When choosing two separate plated options for your guests, you must prepare visual markers for the servers to easily
identify what each guest should receive.
 Due to market conditions, all food and beverage prices are subject to change.
ROOM USAGE and DAMAGES
 We cannot assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the event space prior to




or following a scheduled event.
The contact is responsible for damage or loss of property that occurs as a result of their event.
All entertainment must be approved by management.
Open flames, confetti, glitter, etc. are not permitted.
Items cannot be attached in any way to any surface of the interior or exterior of the building. State Fire Regulations
require that all materials be free standing.
PARKING


Valet parking is available after 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Special arrangements can be made to include
parking on your final bill with advance notice. When added to the final bill, charges are calculated on the final
guaranteed guest count or actual guest attendance, whichever is greater.
Validated parking arrangements prior to 5 PM in any city RAMP can be accommodated with advance notice.

Sean Boney is co-principal of David James Media Group, which has DJ's in Grand Rapids Michigan and San
Diego California. Sean lives in Grand Rapids and has been involved in entertainment for over eight years.
Before that he served in the United States Army. While in the Army Sean fell in love with dance music after
being exposed to the DJ Duo Daft Punk. He began working as a nightclub promoter and nightlife
photographer following a deployment to Iraq in 2004. Sean worked all over the cities of Grand Rapids,
Detroit and Chicago and even the Bahamas. Sean loves electronic music and attending EDM festivals.
However, he can mix anything from the 1960's to today to make crowds lose control. Sean has performed
