For ages 60 and over. A nutritional hot lunch program. Monday– Thursday at Noon. Cost: $2.25 donation.

FOOD COMMODITIES
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Michigan. TEFAP distributes surplus & government-provided food which is distributed on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Maplewood to low-income
families and seniors. Register at Maplewood Office 734-793-1857. This institution is an equal opportunity
employer. Please Note: The income requirements for Michigan TEFAP- One person Household $23,340.
Two person household $31,460. Three person household $39,580. Four person household $47,700.
MEALS ON WHEELS
Garden City volunteers deliver hot meals to eligible homebound seniors Monday-Thursday. A frozen meal
is delivered on Thursday for Friday. For more information call: 1-800-851-1454.
LIQUID NUTRITION
Maplewood Senior Center is a liquid nutrition distribution site and the nutrition supplement is given out on
the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. This program is designed for seniors who have a debilitating disorder or require supplemental food intake to meet their nutritional needs. A doctor’s prescription
is needed. For Information call: 1-800-851-1454
COULD YOU DELIVER MEALS WITH YOUR WHEELS?
Volunteers deliver meals one day a week for approximately one hour and are reimbursed for their route
mileage. Please consider this volunteer opportunity. Call Regina Jackson to volunteer at 734-793-1874

Join us on select Wednesdays from
12:15pm –1:15pm in the Community Room for Lunch
& Learn programs. All programs are free of charge &
will include a Question & Answer period.

Free income tax help!
Free tax assistance will be available for low to middle
income people at the Maplewood Center. On Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday, 9am-1pm (last appointment
is 1pm.) Beginning on: February 3th to April 15th 2015
YOU MUST BRING IN THE FOLLOWING:
1. 2014 State and Federal Income Tax Return.
2. Statement of all earned income: social security,
pension, wages, interest, and dividends.
3. Amount of property tax for 2014
4. Amount of rent paid in 2014
5. Picture I.D.
6. Social Security number — Social Security number
of all dependents.
7. Total heating cost for 2014. This you will find on
the bottom of your bill for Dec. or Jan.
