The origin about Spring Roll
• The Cold Food Festival or Hanshi Festival is a
traditional Chinese holiday, celebrated for three
consecutive days starting from the day before
Tomb Sweeping Day.

The origin about Rice Dumpling
Every year during the "Five-month, Five-day"
of Lunar calendar is known as the "Dumpling
Festival". Dumpling Festival is also known
as Dragon Boat Festival. It is celebrated in
rememberance of Chinese poet Qu Yuan, who
was a loyal official in the court of the Chu
Kingdom in old China.
Fishermen who heard that Qu Yuan drowned
himself in the river set sail on boats to look for
his body. When they could not find it, they
threw rice wrapped in bamboo leaves into the
river so that the fish in the river would eat the
rice instead of his body. Thus began the
tradition of dragon boat races and eating rice
dumplings on Duan Wu Jie.

Mooncake(月餅)
Mooncake, a traditional food that usually eat during the Mid-Autumn
Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four most important Chinese
festivals.
Then, the most traditional mooncake found within Taiwan is filled with
sweetened red bean paste. Sometimes taro paste, salted duck egg yolk and mochi
can also be found in the mooncake.
In Malaysia, we also have mooncake. Almost all kinds of flavor of the
mooncake in Taiwan also can be found in Malaysia.
Does someone know about the jelly mooncake? In Malaysia you can
found lot of flavor of jelly mooncake. And my favorite is durian type.
