LES CHAMPAGNES DES
VIGNERONS
CREATORS OF CHAMPAGNES
FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION
Les Champagnes des Vignerons is a
group of about 5000 independent winegrowers and winemaking organisations.
I t w a s fo u n d e d i n 2 0 0 1 b y t h e
Syndicat Général des Vignerons de la
Champagne.
The name ‘Les Champagnes des
Vignerons’ reflects the diversity of the
Champagne vineyards, the quality of the
wines produced and each wine-grower’s
specific know-how, passed down from
generation to generation.
It also reflects the passion of the winegrowers for their craft and their wines.
They take pride in growing, producing
and commercializing Champagnes
which are full of character. Being a
wine-grower in Champagne means
perpetuating a talent and using methods
of vine growing and winemaking that
have been handed down through the
centuries.
The Syndicat Général des Vignerons de
la Champagne endorses the identity of
the growers and guarantees that the
Champagnes:
Come from vineyards cultivated by the
wine-growers themselves, and are
crafted by the wine-growers on their
own estates or in local wine-grower’s
cooperatives.
The wine-growers can place the SGVC
logo on different parts of the bottle:
• The back label
• The bottle neck, via a neck label, or
• The cork, via the cap of the wire
cage.
If there is no logo, the best means of
recognising a Champagne de Vigneron
is to check whether one of the following
indications is present on the label:
5
• RM (Récoltant Manipulant) RC
(Récoltant Coopérateur)
• CM (Coopérative de Manipulant) SR
(Société de Récoltants).
DISCOVER CHAMPAGNE
UNIQUE IN EVERY WAY
Les Champagnes des Vignerons
are exceptional wines, the result of
magnificent terroir and passionate
winemakers. An austere climate
tempered by an oceanic influence, a
sub-soil predominantly of limestone,
which enhances exposure to sunlight…
an exceptional terroir. It is also a
terroir of great diversity, consisting of
280 000 vineyard plots spread across
the 35 000 hectares of the AOP area.
The ‘Champagne’ appellation area
consists of 4 distinct regions. Each
region gives the grape varieties a
particular character, which contributes
to the personality of the Champagne de
Vignerons wine:
THE CÔTE DES BAR is typified by
roundness and complex aromas, it
covers the area around Troyes, from
Montgueux to Bar-sur-Seine and Barsur-Aube.
THE CÔTE DES BLANCS gives the
Champagne light and delicate aromas,
a delicate finish and elegance. This
chalky terroir includes the south of
Epernay, from Sézanne to Vitry-LeFrançois. Chardonnay is the principal
grape variety grown in the Côte des
Blancs.
THE MONTAGNE DE REIMS produces
wine with power and structure. A huge,
slightly undulating plateau overlooking
the chalky plains, this area runs from
the northeast of Reims to Epernay. The
main grape variety here is Pinot Noir.
THE MARNE VALLEY provides rich
diversity, giving the wines a fragrant
nose, fruit and suppleness. The valley
stretches from Epernay in the east to
Château-Thierry in the west. A great
deal of Pinot Meunier is grown in this
region.

Yearly production: 50 000 bottles
Carole Doyard has her own vineyards (about six hectares) in the village of Vertus, known
for its ‘Premier Cru’. Four generations have already transferred their know-how in order
to assure the future.
Since 20 years, we have applied the ‘sustainable viticulture’, with success. Carole and
her father Philippe produce their own wines with the same passion as Carole’s greatgrandfather, Maurice, and her grandfather, Jean. Our champagne is produced from the
Chardonnay grapes. We vinify around 50 000 bottles per year. Every step in production and
vinification is traditionally executed.

Montagne de Reims
Yearly production: 40 000 bottles
Founded six generations ago, the Family House ARNAUD BEAUFORT ET FILS has remained
faithful to the champagne wine growing traditions. Our Estate, located in Trépail, on the
South-East slope of the Montagne de Reims is a vineyard ranked as Premier Cru. The
vineyards stretch on a surface of 5,60 ha with a grape planting of 90 % of Chardonnay and
10 % of Pinot Noir.
The integrated grape growing method is used in the vineyards, for a better respect of the
environment, moreover combining modernity and respect of tradition is our way to try
and make progress on the vineyards in accordance with the seasons. After several years
ageing in cellars, the bottles that were sleeping in the dark will unveil their secrets.

Although we are based in Rilly-la-Montagne, our 10 hectares of vines are spread over
more than 70 individual plots in seven different villages. The plots have ancient names
such as «les monts Thibet», «Champs Thomas» and «La haie Barbette», and each of them
reflects not only its own particular history but also the meticulous way in which we work to
guarantee consistent and reliable quality.

Montagne de Reims
Yearly production: 65 000 bottles
Winemakers for five generations, our farm is located in Villedommange, 10 km to the
South-East of Reims. The soil of Villedommange is settled on the Montagne de Reims and
is registered as Premier Cru. The three Champagne grape varieties are present: Pinot Noir
(35%) that brings our wines vinosity and strength, Chardonnay (15%) wich gives delicacy
and freshness and Meunier (50%) with brings roundness and fruit taste.
Most of our vines are located in Villedommange but we also work vines in other lands. For
instance, in Les Mesneux Premier Cru, we work in majority with Pinot Noir vines, and in
Savigny-Sur-Ardre we have planted a large quantity of Meunier. Come to discover all this
on the spot, we will be happy to meet you!

Vallée de la Marne
Yearly production: 45 000 bottles
Each of our vineyards produces grapes that perfectly reflect the character of their own
small region: the Coteaux sud d’Epernay, la Côte des Blancs and la Vallée de la Marne and
each one is cultivated using sustainable practices that lie at the very heart of all we can do.
Our champagnes are characterised by the perfect harmony of aromas of Chardonnay,
Meunier and Pinot Noir, yet each cuvée is unique in its own right thanks to the many plots of
vines used and to the different methods of blending and vinification; all this brings elegance
and a distinct style to Champagne Dérouillat.
