Microcad Software
Microcad Software is an o cial Autodesk ISV partner and AutoCAD® OEM developer. For over 25 years we have developed innovative design software for professional designers.
Our commercial design products are: autodecco Pro food service (back of house) and autokitchen Pro food service (front and back of house). Both are specialized software applications for the planning and design of food service projects.

specialised easy to use interface together with thousands of generic and manufacturers products enabling the user to produce project layouts in the quickest time possible

The software comes with thousands of equipment and accessories for standard commercial kitchens. The catalogues come with over 1500 finishes to choose from. With the
“easy to navigate” interface and photo previews there is no need to know the manufacturer codes to design. Those customers with annual maintenance receive updated catalogues accordingly per year.

autodecco and autokitchen, simultaneously generates 3D views when drawing in 2D plan, drawings can also be worked on in 3D perspective views. You will be amazed by the
precision and attention to detail when creating a room, whether it is the architectural elements or the furniture or accessories and equipment insertions, everything can be customised to customer needs. You can also create di cult and advanced architectural structures such as curved walls, sloping ceilings, cathedral ceilings and much more. Equipment and accessories can be inserted with just one click, with or with out walls. The specifications such as dimensions and codes of the drawing are all quoted automatically.

The software uses industry standard drawings saved as DWG files. This means that it is compatible with AutoCAD formats (the main file format used world wide in architectural,
product, furniture etc.) This will enable communication with customers and suppliers with out any format problems. This compatibilty enables a link to other programs for
pricing, ordering, business management or manufacturing. If you work with architects or building companys you can open their AutoCAD plans with our software and quickly
replicate the architecture without having to type in the room dimensions or rebuild the building.

TRAINING
autodecco and autokitchen is a very easy to use and easy to learn software program. It was designed in away that is logical in its layout and easy to navigate.
We provide training with all of our software products but in a way that will have you up and running in the quickest possible time.
We include 6 hrs on-line training which o ers some major advantages over on-site training and classroom training particularly when purchasing a single system. On-line training
is available when it suits you, and having this in one hour sessions is less disruptive to your normal day. (6 hours training is included in standard packages, this may change when
subjected to discounts, o ers or any other special package deals)
We do this as a one to one session although others can listen in and watch what is happening on screen. This way we can go at your pace and not the pace of the quickest or
slowest learner in a classroom group.
The sessions can be done over a few days or a few weeks, It’s up to you! The main thing is that you have the time to practice in between at you pace and list any
questions you have for your next session.
On-line training is done using your autodecco or autokitchen software on your computer, in much the same way that we show people our software by having an online demonstration showing you the program on our computer. This way you will always have the training kitchen you are working on easily accessible to practise on in your own time.
On-line training is also much cheaper than you coming to us or us coming to you especially if traveling any long distances.
MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT
Support is included with our software for 12 months. It is there for when you need it most; when you’re new to the software. (Maintenance and support is included in standard
packages, this may change when subjected to discounts, o ers or any other special package deals)
Having support gives you software updates such as new catalogue items and any new features we might add throughout the year; as well as program upgrades when a new
version is released.
Support also means that there will always be someone to help with any technical aspects of the software, such as re-installing the software on a new computer or asking how to
do a certain task, or where to find a particular accessory item.

[autodecco STUDIO Food Service]
autodecco STUDIO is a feature rich CAD design software aimed at the commercial kitchen designer who needs the ability to produce basic room layouts
and 3D images,and although this is our entry level CAD, it competes with the
top end of the kitchen design software market.
autodecco STUDIO is an ideal first CAD for the food service kitchen designer
who needs the ability to produced good quality 3D Images.
[autodecco PRO Food Service]
autodecco is a specialised software application for planning cooking, food
preparation, storage and washing area’s within cantering kitchens. Thousands
of manufacturers and generic products make up the vast libraries of catering
products and accessories enabling the designer to find what he needs easily
and design quickly. Autodecco was developed to be able to design accurately
and with a high level of detail so that architectual style plans and elevations
have the familiar look of those produced with AutoCAD®, but with the added
benefit of being able to produce HD 3D photorealistic renders.
[autokitchen PRO Food Service]
autokitchen is essentially the same as autodecco when designing back of
house. When designing front of house, bars, restaurants and shop displays
autokitchen comes into it’s own as it features over 4200 modifiable parametric cabinets. It features over 240 door styles and 200 handles as well as
thousands of accessories. autokitchen PRO food services can produce cut lists
and export panel sizes to CNC machinery.
[Improving Presentation]
Both of our packages come with templates so that multiple design layouts
can be produced from each project. You can save multiple views and lay
them on the print template as any arrangement you like. Layouts produced
with our software can have as little or as much information added such as
legends, dimensions, free text and annotations.
Both of our applications can produce layouts that are sure to impress your
clients and lead to increasing your sales!

BIM
New legislation that will come into force in 2016 requires that if the designs
you produce are for government projects, schools, libraries, prisons etc, then
they must have BIM information produced with design software as a 3D model.
BIM has been around for almost 20 years in the USA and specific software was
developed for the construction industry that many food services companies
assume they will need. They are worried at the vast cost of implementing these
systems and the many months of having to attend a college or university to
learn how to use it. Hopefully the information below will belay these fears and
show that our specifically developed software will meet the requirements of
the BIM legislation and for a fraction of the outlay.
What is BIM?
Essentially BIM is technical specification for each product within a design
presented as a 3D model. The technical details need to be able to be viewed
by project managers, builders and financiers as to make sure that technical
requirements are met and associated costs are accounted for not only in the
short term but in the long term also.
To view the design together with the BIM information the project needs to exported and viewed using a viewer. There are 100’s of viewers available and the
industry as well as ourselves have adopted a format called IFC. This is the most
popular format to use as it ensures compatibility with other software platforms.
Our software produces it’s drawings as .dwg files the same as AutoCAD® but
we can convert the finished project into the IFC format that can then be sent
on to a third party and viewed with an IFC viewer.
The BIM information (technical product specification) has to come from the
manufacturer of the products you are using so that it can be included in the
data fields within the software that sit behind each product.
Some manufacturers are making this information available for download for all
software applications that meet the BIM
requirement, in the IFC format.
We o er a service to create the manufacturers products as 3D blocks and to
produce the BIM information in the IFC format for them.
