We have the 9-day Simbang Gabi, the house-tohouse caroling and on Christmas day itself, the giving of gifts and visiting of friends and relatives. However, we must remember the true meaning of Christmas. It is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It should remind us of the difficulties of Mother Mary and St. Joseph in finding a place to stay in after a long and tiring travel. They did find a place but it was a manger where Jesus was born. Jesus was not born in an elegant place; He was born in a manger where animals lived. Therefore, the birth of Jesus illustrates to us the way we should celebrate Christmas, We do not need big, elegant superb celebrations. We should celebrate the birth of Jesus in simple ways. Let us celebrate Christmas with our family and friends. Let us go to church together and thank God for the blessings we receive. Let us share whatever we can to those people who are in need. Let us share the Christmas spirit by caroling with our friends. There are so many things we can do to celebrate Christmas in simple ways. Let us remember that the true spirit of Christmas is how we remember the birth of our savior. Grade 3 Pupils Receive First Communion With Rev. Fr.
