WEBINAR It’s free. It’s informative. It’s convenient. REGISTER TODAY! TOPIC: 3D to Prototype to Production—Standardized HASCO mold system and 3D-printed inserts allow quick and inexpensive prototypes. PRESENTED BY: hasco.com PRESENTERS: ® 3D-printed inserts for mold prototypes can serve as a testing ground to quickly prove out production mold design options. This presentation takes a look at one project that put this theory to the test. An initial cost analysis and design review revealed that this plug type could not be economically produced by conventional injection molding. A collaborative prototyping method that combines 3D-printed cavities, cores and slide faces with a quick-change mold system and standard components was used and permitted rapid, low-cost prototypes that helped design and manufacture a better production mold. Primary topics: • Prototype and Production mold production for limited runs • Sizing of project • Testing & Verification Brenda Clark Engineering Manager Speakers: Brenda Clark is the Engineering Manager at HASCO America in Fletcher, NC. She has held over the last 11 years many important positions at HASCO, and has been designing and building plastic injection molds for over 35 years. Brenda is a mold designer by trade with a degree for Machine Design in Mechanical Technology from Hartford State Technical College in Hartford, CT. The last few years she has been working at Hasco assisting customers in North America with their mold design and build. She suggests the best procedures and components to provide a better mold for the customer and their customers. She is also currently a board member of SPE in the Mold Technologies division 2015-2016 as the Technical Program Chair. Cory Haas is an Application Engineer at Stratasys. Cory has spent 3 years working to directly support and develop advanced applications for FDM and PolyJet additive manufacturing technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.
