HOW DOES THE SILENT AUCTION WORK?
Each silent auction item will have a bid sheet with it on the Silent Auction
Tables. To bid, simply write your bid amount (in dollar increments) on
the item’s corresponding sheet with your name, email address and home
phone. Please print clearly. Keep a tally on how high the bids go, and
increase your bid by re-visiting the silent auction tables and reviewing the
bid sheet(s).
If you bid, PLEASE plan to follow through with your payment and pick up of
the item by the end of the day.
Before the close of each lot, an announcement will be made as a reminder
to go back and make a last bid and check items you’re interested in. After
the lots close, check with the silent auction staff to find out if you’ve won,
then please pay for your items.
If you are not present at Paws in the Park at the end of the Silent Auction,
we will contact you. All items must be paid for by the winner by June 5th,
2011 and picked up at our facility at 604 Boston Post Road, Sudbury. Please
call Save A Dog (978-443-7282) to make arrangements before you come to
pick up your winnings.

This year a portion of the proceeds to go towards our Mealson-Wheels-for-Pets program. As we have seen an increase
in the number of local dogs turned in due to their owners’
financial hardship, we want to help prevent a pet from losing
their loving home by providing free meals to pets. The Mealson-Wheels-for-Pets program will benefit both pets and
their owners, particularly seniors who are on a fixed income as
well as pet owners who are suffering from job loss. For more
information on Meals-on-Wheels-for-Pets, see Booth E.

Save A Dog is a 501c3 tax exempt Humane Society whose mission is
to rescue, rehabilitate, and find adoptable homes for abandoned dogs.
We are a holistically-minded organization that believes in providing the
highest quality care to our rescued dogs. We give the dogs vitamins,
herbal supplements, and probiotics from day one as our shelter protocol.
Each night the new arrivals are serenaded to animal healing music while
enjoying a fresh meaty bone on their kuranda beds. We have a very
strong foster home program so that the dogs are transitioned into the
home environment as soon as possible. We educate our adopters on
holistic care for their new dog and our Retail room carries pet food
and all the holistic supplements at a very low cost to our adopters and
supporters. Please come visit us during our open hours. Save A Dog was
incorporated in 1999 and is funded entirely by private donations.
Please keep the historical grounds of the Wayside Inn litter free.
For your convenience, doggy clean-up bags are inside your goodie bag,
as well as all our Booths.

During the Revolutionary war when British General Howe’s dog accidentally crossed American lines,
General George Washington wrote a letter to his British counterpart and returned the dog to him.
No wonder we elected him the first President! In the midst of the Revolution he took the time to save a dog!
Save A Dog is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
