“A bishop must be a lover of good men…”
Titus. 1:6
TO ADVANCE, ANY ORGANIZATION
MUST HAVE GOOD MEN. In the half century
of working in Brazil we have seen many leaders
and saints come and go. It is our prayer that the
UPC of Brazil has good men in leadership. God
has answered our prayer.
Edino Zonta, National and International
Director of Missions
Cezar Rener, ABI President, Manaus
Eliza Rocha, Director of Ladies Ministries
Bro. Edino Zonta (top photo) a business man
and printer was reached by tract ministry and
evangelism. After ABI in Manaus he founded a
home missions church and we placed him over
national and international missions. So far this
year he has promoted and sent five couples to
start new churches in other parts of Brazil. He
promoted sending five couples to other
Portuguese countries in Europe and Africa and
this week helped purchase a lot in Portuguese
Guinea Bissaú, Africa for a central church and
Bible school.
Bro. Cezar Rener, (2nd photo) an ex-RC
priest, out of curiosity entered our church to
check out SFT studies and received the Holy
Ghost and later married our ABI secretary.
They both work hard helping Sis. DeMerchant
organize, print and distribute Portuguese
textbooks to 2,500 Bible school students in 125
other locations in Brazil.
Sis. Eliza Rocha (3rd photo) was a secular
school teacher who found this great Apostolic
truth and worked closely with our church in
Minas Gerais state in central Brazil. She pastors
a fine church in Timotio, runs a Bible school
and organizes the national Ladies Ministry
movement in UPC of Brazil who have built
many home missions churches, sent couples to
new cities, and helped furnish Brazilian-sent
missionary homes in other countries. God has
given us greatly-needed trained leaders. The
leaders are working together to finish eleven
“Jerusalem Conference Centers” for large
meetings of our church in Brazil. (Eirunepé JCC

working together who annually bring in a
harvest of souls in our work in Brazil and we
thank God for each one of these.
Thousands of great Brazilian saints and
leaders join with us to thank you for your
prayers and faithful support!
