Wellington Wallbed 700 Series
Assembly Instructions
1. Read all instructions before proceeding. Not following instructions may result
in personal harm or damage to the furniture.
2. 2 people are required to install the Wallbed and storage units.
3. Attach to the wall the Ready To Assemble (RTA) unit prior to door being hung.
4. For assembly assistance, please call 1-204-795-0408.
5. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
Tools required:
-Phillips screwdriver
-Power drill
-Robertson bits (#1 & #2)
-1/8” Drill bit
-3/4” Wrench
-1/2” Wrench or Ratchet (2 required)
-Stud finder (recommended)
-Level
Top with lights
Top back support with 4 holes
Headboard rest
Back base with 2 holes
Lower Front base - Smallest
1. Open sku # 700-001 (RTA) and place the pieces facing down, leave the
gable and top piece face up.
3. Screw in the vertical locking pin into the 7 pre drilled holes on gable's
and 4 on the top piece with lights; note the dowel holes are bigger.
2. Install cam locks with arrows pointing out.
4. With a phillips screwdriver, attach top back support to the top piece with lights.
The locking pins connect into cam locks; then turn cam lock 1/4 turn to lock it in.
5. Flip all your pieces over so the face is up.
8. Followed by the back base.
6. Attach side gable to the top pieces with lights; lock
cams into the top piece. Note that the cam on the top
back support, head rest and back base will be locked later
when the unit is standing up.
9. After that attach the front base and lock the cam with 1/4
turn, do the same steps in reverse order for the other side.
7. Next attach the headboard rest to the side gable
10. With two people lift up the wall-bed unit.
11. Now lock the remaining cams in place on the top back
support, head rest and back base.
14. Use shims to level the base of the unit if
necessary. The shims should be trimmed to
fit completely underneath the unit.
12. With two people you can now move the
wallbed to the wall you wish to attach it to. Make
sure that there is room remaining beside the wall
bed for any additional units. It may be necessary
to remove the base board mouldings on the wall.
Carefully remove them so they can be cut down
to the appropriate size and be replaced when all
the cabinetry is in place.
15. Once 700-001 is level, use a stud finder
and mark the studs out. Pre drill holes using
a1/8” drill bit.
13. level and plume the horizontal case. If the case is not
level the door will have gaps and will not close as intended.
16. Then use the provided 3 1/2” screws. To secure
the top back support underneath the light and in to
the studs in the wall. Then you cover the screw head
with the veneer stickers provided.

17. Now open sku # 700-002 from the packaging
and place the bed in front of wall unit. The side
that has 3 bolts on it should be facing the wall unit.
19b. Place leg assembly bolt into the bed
frame. Add one plastic washer to the bolt on
the inside of the bed frame.

18. Next assemble the folding legs with the cross
bar using a small washer on a 1/2” screw use a 1/2”
wrench to tighten on both sides.
19. Then add one plastic washer to the leg
assembly.
20. Then add one metal washer with the large
hole on the inside of the frame.
21. Now add the last metal washer with the small
hole. Add the nut and use a 1/2” wrench to tighten
it down. Do the same on the other side. The leg
assembly should move freely; if not loosen the nuts
inside the bed frame.

22. Now move to the wall unit side. Loosen the adjustment nuts on the spring mechanism from a
1/2” to 2” reveal or until unit arms are on a 60 degree angle. You can use your hand or a 3/4”
wrench.

23. Take off the middle bolt, it's only hand tightened.
Then push the upper most bolt out, on both sides.
Don't take this bolt off.

24. With two people you can lift the bed assembly on a 60 degree angle and slide the upper most bolt into the groove of the spring mechanisms arm. Then re-attach
the middle bolt's using 1/2” wrench or socket. Make sure it's tight then do the same for the top bolt. You can support the bed with your knee during this process, or
one person can hold the bed and the other person can tighten the bolts.
25. Use a 3/4” wrench to tighten up the spring nut
on the spring mechanism, so there is a 1/2” reveal
between the arm and the spring plate, again use your
knee as a brace.
28. You can now put the handles on the bed
using the provided 1/2” screws.
26. Close the door there will be a reveal on the door
gap. Push the bottom over so all gaps are even.
The gaps should be even if not the door may not
function properly.
29. Load mattress onto frame and attach velcro strap. Using
the same 3/4” wrench as before, tighten the adjuster nut on
the right and left sides evenly. Check to make sure the frame
(with mattress) is leveled both side to side and front to back.
Proper leveling will facilitate proper closure and exact sight
line of the fit of the face panel to the cabinet.
27. Then find the studs and pre drill holes on
the back base support, and secure it to the
wall.
30. Remove the mattress and place spring
covers on spring mechanism.
31. There are 6 sticky backed wire management
covers provided; use them to run the wires from lights
to the corner's and down behind the head board.
34. With 700-001, 700-002 and 700-005 together, begin
the installation of 700-003 and 700-004. Place the units
next to 700-001. There is no specific arrangement for
these two units, they can be placed on either side of the
wallbed case. Level 700-003 and 700-004 and shim if
necessary. 32. Once 700-001 and 700-002 are together
securely, you can install additional units. If you
have 700-005 place it on top of the assembled
case and center it carefully.
35. Remove the bottom drawers to each of the to
each of the units. This is done by pressing on the
release clip. Push one up and the other down.
33. Screw 700-005 to 700-001 using the pre
drilled pilot holes on the inside of 700-001
36. Screw 700-003 (004) to 700-001 using
the screws provided, into the pilot holes above
the drawer slides. There should be one pilot
hole per unit in this location. Replace the
drawers when complete
37. Near the top of 700-003(004) there are 2
more pilot holes on the inside gable. Put
screws in these two locations to secure the
units together.
38. 700-006 and 700-007 have several pilot
holes on the gables, use the appropriate holes
to screw units together. There are 4 pilot
holes to use.
39. Replace mattress and strap it down.
Your wallbed is now ready for use.
IMPORTANT
-Always close the folding leg before closing the Wallbed door.
-Turn off the lights in All the cabinets when closing the doors.
-The Wallbed MUST be anchored to the wall BEFORE attaching the door and using the bed.
Not doing so will lead to furniture damage and personal injury.
-The mattress used in the Wallbed must not be more than 12” thick.
-Use velcro strap on the bed frame to secure mattress.
