The Bunraku-style drama filled with plenty of laughter and tears
A long awaited-performance coming to Kansai for the first time!
2014 Aug. 7th thu. – 17th sun.
By KOKI MITANI
Story
This is a completely modern-day Bunraku (traditional Japanese puppet
theatre), produced by one of most popular Japanese writer-directors, Koki
Mitani who is also the best comedy writer. The story is based on Sonezaki
Shinju, which is different in its details but can be called a Japanese version
of Romeo and Juliet. This is the historic collaboration, remaining major
essence of traditional
Bunraku and nowa-day brilliant tragic
comedy. So, why not
join the performance,
let out some laughter
and maybe some tears
this August at the
KYOTO Theater!
* This performance has English subtitles.
Ticket now on sale!
¥8,000 (all reserved seats; tax incl.)

KYOTO Theater
Sumire Ramen shop is from Hokkaido, and
their best menu is their “Miso Ramen.”
Their clear soup is made mainly from boiled
pork bones. Fish and vegetables are also added
to make their original & delicious soup.
Because the thick soup’s surface covers
the ramen, you are able to enjoy this ramen
steaming hot until the last drop.
After drinking all the soup, you will find some
fun under the bowl!
