Aug. 11 (Tue.) – Sept. 5 (Sat.); 10:00-18:00 Woodblock prints in Japan can be traced back in history to Buddhist woodblock printing during the end of Heian period. During the Edo period, plenty of colorful and elegant prints were made. Ukiyo-e woodblock prints were, in particular, said to have given western artists a big impact in technique and style. And this year, commemorating the 400th year anniversary of the Rimpa school – their broad composition and design are once more Japanese Tea under & Gallerythe spotlight. At this exhibition, various kinds of woodblock prints including Rimpas’ will be exhibited and sold. Please find a charm of Japanese Tea & Gallery woodblock prints that have a gentle texture!
