TM Network Management System XDS-PRO4Q Audio DVB Satellite Receiver MARKET APLLICATION Live Broadcasting News, Talk and Sports Store & Forward Save satellite transmission cost Copy Split/Spot Insertion Localize advertising DESCRIPTION The XDS-PRO4Q Series is a digital audio receiver used by radio stations to receive audio broadcasts from a satellite or IP (Internet) distributed radio network. This is used to receive live broadcasts as well as programs to be stored and played later. The PRO4Q provides the radio network the ability to target their advertising to specific locations so each receiver in a network can play localized spots and other content. In addition to copy splitting, it enables spot rotation, scheduling live, store and forward programs, audio insertion, and digital live recording with play back to delay time zone feeds. NETWORK AUDIO SOLUTIONS Broadcast radio networks enjoy unprecedented audio quality, centralized programming and control of receivers, live and stored programs, localized advertizing, and a cost effective end-to-end solution. FEATURES • Cost effective • DVB S/S2 FM/AM Transmission Broadcast Radio Network X-Digital Headend • L-Band QPSK/8PSK Satellite • MPEG, AAC decoder • Low Bitrate down to 256 Kbaud • Receives live IP streams Uplink • Store and forward Radio Station • Record/ and Insertion of media • System support for over 500 channels • Four balanced audio outputs • Four AES interfaces IP • Multiple decodes cross mixed X-Digital Pro Series Receiver IP Network (Internet) • Audio input for network automation IP • 4 PAD output ports • 32 relays (fixed & net relay) • Two 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports w/VLAN • 10/100BaseT Ethernet WAN port • DHCP, NFS, HTTP, Telnet • Alarm port and M&C via RS323 • In-Field firmware upgradable • Standard XML interfaces NETWORK MANAGEMENT Each XDS-PRO4Q can be fully controlled by the Pico Digital XNMS. Combined with XNMS, this feature rich system solution provides closed loop management of each receiver including digital rights management, live authorizations, content download/local playback, firmware updates and remote storage management. Additionally, receiver health, as-run logging and performance attributes can be collected and forwarded back to the XNMS. • Remote control via XNMS 1 www.picodigital.com TOLL FREE 800.421.6511 TM Expansion Slot L-Band Input PAD Outputs Console & OPTO Inputs WAN & USB LAN Expansion Slot 32 Relay Outputs Audio Analog Input & AES/EBU Input AC Audio Analog Outputs Audio AES/EBU Outputs PROVEN SOLUTIONS Professional Grade at a Consumer Price Live Audio Record/Playback (Time Shifting) The XDS-PRO4Q receiver is designed as a professional device enabling networks to provide enhanced capability without a large investment in hardware. The PRO4Q has up to four audio outputs with 32 relays. Pico Digital offers a StarGuide-compatible XDS-PRO that may be used in existing StarGuide networks. The PRO4Q is capable of recording and playing back any broadcast channel. This enables the network/station to time shift content to the proper air-prime. Content can be recorded into its local or networked storage. Live Broadcasts over Satellite or IP Networks The PRO4Q provides live decoding of broadcast media. It can receive MPEG/DVB via live satellite or IP networks (Internet). Each live stream can be routed to any of the balanced output. Additionally, each live stream can be digitally mixed with another live stream or a stored file play-back for maximum flexibility. The PRO4Q is equipped with up to 32 programmable Form-A relays. These relays can be actuated via network control or ancillary data channels. This provides a legacy interface for many existing radio station automation systems. Additionally, opto inputs provide automation directly into the PRO4Q receiver. A balanced audio input is also available to allow station by-pass by network. Store & Forward And File Delivery Accountability Media files can be stored into internal SSD, HDD or a external NAS. Each PRO4Q logs its activity. The network can decide what events are logged and how often they are reported to the network. This includes receiver performance, spot play, live play, time zone delays and all other programming controls. The optional off-air monitor module can also record and tag content received via AM/FM signals. Copy Spot Insertion Audio files residing on the mounted device can be inserted into live or recorded media being output via the MPEG decoder. This feature allows localization of live, live stored, or pre-recorded programming. Advanced Scheduling Networks or affiliates can schedule live, delayed, or store and forward programs through a friendly web based interface. Automation Ready Watermarking (Optional) The network can watermark all audio content that plays out of the receiver. Watermark includes Serial Number and port of the receiver, program or commercial ID, and station ID.
