Zero Tolerance & Dmitry Sinkevich Impress with the NEW 0454
• Winner of the Blade Show's 2013 Overall Knife of the Year
• New limited edition 0454 has the first three-part Composite Blade
• Based on Dmitry Sinkevich's "Cardinator"
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—Belorussian knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich is partnering with Zero Tolerance
Knives to create a limited edition ZT based on his custom knife, the Cardinator.
The new knife, the Zero Tolerance 0454, has just been named as the 2013 Overall Knife of the Year
during the annual Blade Show. Blade Show winners are chosen by a vote of industry members and
based on a roster of key qualities, from innovation to craftsmanship.
Among the 0454's innovations is the first three-part Composite Blade. This proprietary process
combines several steels into a single blade. In this case, Zero Tolerance put CPM D2 on the cutting
edge and spine while 14C28N stainless steel forms the angular design in the middle. The three parts
are laser cut like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, then permanently braze welded together.
This remarkable Composite Blade is paired with 3D-machined carbon fiber handles that are
lightweight, yet incredible strong. For reliable blade lockup, the 0454’s Sub-Frame Lock has a titanium
lockbar with hardened stainless steel lockbar insert. The blade opens with a flipper and moves on the
KVT ball-bearing system. Strong blade detent gives the opening a powerful, professional feel.
Every detail of the 0454 is sculpted—from pocketclip to backspacer. A handsome, oversized pivot is
the final touch on this impressive knife.

New Zero Tolerance Blackwash Finish is the New Black
• Zero Tolerance is one of the first major manufacturers to use this new type of finish on production knives
___________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—Zero Tolerance introduces blackwash. A blackwashed knife is like a battletested tool or a favorite pair of well-worn jeans. Blackwashing gives a ZT that already-broken-in look.
Although a few custom knife makers have been using this process, Zero Tolerance is one of the first
major manufacturers to use it on production knives.
To make a blackwashed knife, knife components are Tungsten DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coated,
then tumbled to produce the distinctive ZT blackwash finish. Like any coating, it will wear eventually,
but with blackwashing, additional wear just adds to the blackwashed look.

The Zero Tolerance 0770CF Now Comes with Carbon Fiber Handle
• A compact version of the award-winning Zero Tolerance 0777
* NEW! Carbon fiber handle for lightweight carry
TUALATIN, OREGON—The original, award-winning Zero Tolerance 0777 is a very limited-run knife.
Yet interest in it is high among blade aficionados.
That's why Zero Tolerance is proud to announce a new version of that award-winning knife—one that
will be much more generally available. The 0770CF offers the style and performance of the awardwinning 0777, but in a slightly smaller, streamlined version.
For ZT performance, the blade is ELMAX powdered steel, which provides the ability to take a razor
edge, excellent edge retention, strength, and toughness. A stonewashed finish on the blade hides
hard-use scratches and makes maintenance easier.
The sweeping lines of the original 0777 are preserved in the lightweight carbon fiber handle that
nestles securely in the hand. An inset liner lock in titanium secures the blade without adding
unnecessary weight.
The 0770CF opens quickly and easily thanks to SpeedSafe® assisted opening and the built-in flipper.
Pocketclip, lockbar, and backspacer are machined titanium for lightweight strength. For a final touch of
class, ZT adds a handsome oversized pivot.

The Zero Tolerance 0350 Now Comes
with an Uncoated Blade
• A purpose-roughened stonewashed finish replaces the Diamond-Like Carbon coating
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON— The Zero Tolerance 0350 gets a lot of love from knife enthusiasts. Yet
there are those who say they'd love it a lot more without the DLC coating on the blade.
Done. For 2013, Zero Tolerance is granting the wishes of uncoated blade lovers with the new
0350SW.
Instead of DLC coating on the blade, the new 0350SW's blade comes with a stonewashed finish.
Like the other 0350s, the blade is S30V stainless steel for extreme durability, corrosion
resistance, and wear resistance.
The handle is the same as on the 0350—textured G-10 scales with a secure locking liner. Zero
Tolerance's quad-mounting system enables all-position pocket carry of the knife.
The 0350SW opens quickly with the patented SpeedSafe® assisted opening system. A knife user
can use the ambidextrous thumbstud or flipper to open the knife easily—even in duty gloves.
The new 0350SW is a much-requested addition to the Zero Tolerance lineup.

Zero Tolerance & Rick Hinderer are Back with the NEW 0566
• Not as large as the 0560, this new knife is EDC-perfect
___________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON— Zero Tolerance Knives and Rick Hinderer team up again to create the

• Designed by Todd Rexford, the Injection 3.5 (model 3830)
and Injection 3.0 (model 3820) offer class and performance
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—From custom knifemaker Todd Rexford and Kershaw Knives comes the new
Injection 3.5 and Injection 3.0. Both offer an astonishing wealth of custom details—without the custom price.
From the tip of their classic drop-point blades to their 3D-machined G-10 handles, both Injections offer
streamlined good looks.
Details like decorative pivot hardware and machined thumbstuds give the Injections a high-end look and
feel. The G-10 handles feature incised cutouts on each side, providing a see-through view of the stainless
steel liners. The G-10 is slightly textured for a secure grip. Even the backspacer has style. It's chamfered

lanyard pin so nothing interrupts the smooth line of the knife.
The Injection 3.5 has a 3 1/2-in. blade and the Injection 3.0 has a 3-in. blade. Built of high-performance
8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the blade comes razor-sharp and holds its edge well. Manual opening is smooth
and easy with an ambidextrous thumbstud. Once open, the blade is secured with a steel locking liner. The

Customers Fall for the New Kershaw FreeFall
• New model 3840 will have tactical style, extreme ergonomics—and an amazing price
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—Introduced at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, the new Kershaw FreeFall won wide
approval from show-goers. And no wonder.
This tactically styled blade offers a palm-gripping, ergonomic handle paired with a modified tanto blade. For
extra cutting versatility, the blade has a slightly curved belly. The tanto tip is flat ground for strength. The
8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade, with easy-care stonewashed finish, provides high performance at an
affordable price.
The handle is contoured to fit the palm and is partially embossed with Kershaw’s new K-Texture™ for an
extra secure hold. Heavy jimping on the blade back and on the lower part of the backspacer add to the grip
power of this handsome knife. The backspacer also has a built-in lanyard hole that's wide enough to
accommodate a variety of lanyard styles.
The FreeFall also has a reversible and adjustable deep-carry clip. A screw on the knife butt enables the user
to mount the clip for left- or right-handed carry. The screw also lets the user move the clip closer or further
from the handle for a tighter or looser carry.
Customizing touches like that, combined with tactical styling and a comfortable hand-fit , make the FreeFall
an easy choice for tough piercing tasks as well as for every day carry. The new FreeFall will retail for $39.95.

Kershaw's New Multi-Function Shuffle is Value-Priced & Must-Have
• A stubby, wide blade—plus a flathead screwdriver, bottlecap lifter & Kershaw's exclusive K-Texture™
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—The new Kershaw Shuffle is compact, versatile & tough.
The first thing a knife user will notice about the new Shuffle is its compact size and wide little blade. The next
things they'll notice are how nicely the finger contours fit the hand, how Kershaw's new K-Texture™ handle
provides an extra secure grip, and how useful that stubby little blade really is.
But the Shuffle has some additional tricks up its sleeve: It also has a flathead screwdriver at the butt of the
knife, which doubles as a lanyard attachment, and a handy bottlecap lifter built into the back of the knife.
The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel known for its ability to hold an edge, strength, and hardness.
The K-Texture handle—composed of a repeating pattern of the Kershaw logo "k"—is exclusive to Kershaw
and enhances grip. A liner lock secures the Shuffle's blade open in use, but closes easily when its tasks are
done.
As a utility knife, a work knife, or just a great multi-function pocketknife, the Shuffle (model 8700) is the right
choice.

Kershaw Pro-Grade Fish & Specialty Game Series
Adds Three New Models
• New models include Spear Point Bait, Boning, and Gutting/Scaling knives
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—Kershaw's Pro-Grade Specialty Fish & Game series is designed to enable outdoor enthusiasts
and kitchen pros alike to always have the right knife for any job. Pros know that having the right tool for the task makes
every job easier—which is exactly what the Pro-Grade line is made to do.
New for 2013 are three new Pro-Grade specialty knives:
The Spear-Point Bait Knife (model 1290) offers a 3-in. blade with serrations on one side as well as a sharp spear-point for
piercing tasks. It's perfect for plug cutting baitfish and handles all precision bait-cutting jobs quickly and easily.
The 5 1/2-in. Boning Knife (model 1291) has a thin, sharp blade designed to help separate meat from bones in larger fish,
poultry, and meat. The blade's narrow profile makes it easier to get into the tight places, while the sharpness and strength
of the blade makes it possible to quickly cut through cartilage.
The 5 1/2-in. Gutting/Scaling Knife (model 1292) makes scaling easy with the built-in scaler on the spine of the blade. The
blade cuts through the belly quickly and makes removing the gills easy.
Like the rest of the Pro-Grade line, the blades on these new knives are 420J2 stainless steel for excellent corrosion
resistance—always important for use in a wet environment. The steel is tough and easy to re-sharpen. When filleting, it
offers just the right amount of “flex” to make filleting and breakdown easier.
The Pro-Grade handle is a proven design that enables the hand to lock easily into place for comfort and control, even
when doing professional levels of processing.
The new Spear Point Bait Knife retails for $9.95, the 5 1/2-in. Boning Knife for $19.95, and the Gutting/Scaling Knife for
$19.95.

Kershaw Bows to Customer Demand
for a New Blur Color Combination
• The new 1670RDBLKST will have a black DLC-coated blade and a red-and-black handle
______________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—Customers have been asking for it and for 2013 Kershaw is making it: a red Blur
with a black DLC-coated blade, model 1670RDBLKST.
Like all Blurs, this new red-and-black version is equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that’s ideal for
multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities. High-performance
Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel provides the Blur's blade with corrosion resistance and excellent edgeholding ability. Black DLC coating protects the blade and looks great with this Blur's red handles with black
Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts.
The handle is built of durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, which is sometimes described as “aircraft
aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. It's lightweight, extremely durable, and
accepts a dye well so Kershaw can create colored handles that are scratch resistant and extra tough.
For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A short push on the
thumbstud overcomes the resistance built into the torsion bar in the SpeedSafe mechanism and the blade
moves out of the handle quickly and easily. The pocketclip is reversible for a choice of tip-up or tip-down
carry. The new Blur will retail for $109.95.

• Jewel-tone Purple, Navy Blue & Olive Drab Debut in 2013
• The new models are: model 1620PUR (purple); model 1620NB (navy blue); model 1620OL (olive drab)
________________________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—The Kershaw Scallion just may be the one pocketknife that anyone and everyone
can carry with complete confidence and ease. It's not too big, so it's not intimidating. It's not too small, so it
can handle just able every task a user could ask of it.
But because it's so popular, everyone wants a Scallion they can call their own—in a color they really like.
That's why, for 2013, Kershaw is introducing three new colors that customers have been asking for: jeweltone purple, navy or "shop coat" blue, and olive drab.
The blade steel is high-carbon stainless steel that offers good edge retention and excellent corrosion
resistance. The blade is bead-blasted to give it a soft, matte look and make it easier to maintain, too.
Whether a user is left-handed or right-handed, the Scallion is quick and easy to open thanks to our

The brilliant color is applied to the anodized aluminum handles. The color is a fade-resistant, scratchresistant dye that’s permanently bonded to the aluminum, so it looks good now, and looks good later, too.
Even better, anodizing actually strengthens the aluminum for a handle that's strong, lightweight—and
colorful. For safety, the Scallion has a locking liner to keep it locked safely open and a Tip-Lock to keep it
locked safely closed during transport.

Kershaw Announces
3 New "Leek" Colors for 2013
• Jewel-tone purple, bright orange & olive drab debut in 2013
• The new models are: model 1660PUR (purple); model 1660OR (orange); model 1660OL (olive drab)
________________________________________________________________________________________________
TUALATIN, OREGON—Kershaw Leeks have been top sellers since they were first introduced.
But because they're so popular, customers want a Leek they can call their own—in colors they really like. So
for 2013, Kershaw is introducing three new colors that customers have been asking for: jewel-tone purple,
bright orange, and olive drab.
Each of these new models features a blade of Sandvik 14C28N high-performance stainless steel. The taskready 3-in., blade is a modified drop-point shape that offers good slicing capabilities, while the slim tip

well, too.
The brilliant color is applied to the anodized aluminum handles. The color is a fade-resistant, scratchresistant dye that’s permanently bonded to the aluminum, so it looks good now, and looks good later, too.
But color isn't the only benefit of anodizing; the process strengthens the aluminum as well.
SpeedSafe equipped, the new Leeks are fast and easy to open left- or right-handed thanks to the
ambidextrous flipper or thumbstud. For safety, a locking liner keeps the blade locked open during use and
