TOWER PARK 2011
As reported by Al and Pam Wollonciej
What a great event enjoyed by everyone. The weather was good except for a little rain a couple
of nights and some cold and windy weather in the evening. But the days were good, not too hot
and not too cold. There were a lot of vendors, and many like me (non-vendor) just selling items.
There were plenty of parts to go around. Despite the economic situation it seems like there were
many transactions of selling and buying. Half of the fun is going around looking for those special parts and then as you’re walking around, stopping and talking about those special parts you
bought. The other great thing is walking around and talking to people that you only see once or

twice a year. The campground was full, and I think they were sold out.
The Dodge show they had was great. It was very impressive. The Huey Helicopter landing is
always a spectacular sight. The flyby planes, what a sight. All the events that go on throughout that week of Tower Park are great, from the food to the different informative workshops,
and the raffle/get together they have on Friday night. Wednesday, a few of us took a trip to
A&W to get burgers and root beer floats and show off our vehicles. Thank you to Jeff for organizing that, even though there was some kind of communication gap. By next year I think
this place is to be remodeled with a drive through.
Each year we come home with memories of this trip. Hope for those of you that went they
are good ones like they were for us. For those of you who didn’t go, we hope you go next
year. It is worth it. There will also be a Fall Tower Park in October.
