Medical Bracelets by Marlena Medical bracelets are common in the U.S. because they save lives when it comes to an illness or allergies that people have. Bracelets tell people that a person has an illness. All people with illnesses should wear one so people know what kind of illness they have. I would like to get one so that people know that I have seizures. Basketball Clinic at K.U. by Renae The first KU basketball clinic was held in January 1984. Upon the death of the great Wilt Chamberlain, the clinic was named the Wilt Chamberlain Special Olympics basketball clinic. Only 100 Special Olympians can attend the clinic each year. In addition to being part of a team, Special Olympics has extra cool things athletes can do. The athletes were divided into groups and rotated among stations, headed by KU players.
