Bump It! - Firefighters Community Credit Union
Hot Topics for 2nd Quarter 2015
President’s Message
Thank you so much for your patience
as we worked through the complex
integration associated with the recent
merger. The merger expands our
footprint into Lorain County with new
full-service, public locations in LaGrange,
Ben Laurendeau
South Amherst, North Ridgeville, and
Wellington. The combined organization
now includes 80+ awesome employees to serve over 32,000
members. The expanded service area, branch network, and
membership size make Firefighters Community Credit Union one
of the largest and fastest-growing credit unions in Northeast Ohio.
This is possible because of a stellar group of employees, a strong
management team, and a committed board of directors—but
mostly because of you, the members and owners of the credit
union. FFCCU, like all credit unions, is a financial cooperative. The
greater number of engaged members, the greater value produced,
and greater benefit returned through better rates, fewer fees, and
investments in technology and infrastructure.
I encourage you to take full advantage of your credit union
membership and, in the spirit of the cooperative principles,
please share the word if you know someone who could benefit
from becoming part of the credit union family.
Breakout with FFCCU!
What does that mean? It means we’re breaking out of the mundane
with all kinds of new and exciting things. From breaking out into new
territory with our branches now in Lorain county, to breaking out a new
certificate promotion going on now through April 30, 2015!
Open an 18-month certificate at
1.00% APY * with a bump option.
What the heck is a “bump”? Glad you asked. Open this certificate, and
if that certificate rate goes up, you have the option to bump your rate to
the better rate once during your 18-month term.
Certificates are an awesome way to save. You know exactly what you’ll
earn and you don’t have to be a fancy investor to understand them.
Hurry, offer ends April 30th! Stop into any one of our nine branch
locations to open this special certificate or visit ffcommunity.com
for more details.
Bump It!
As always, we appreciate your continued support.

Amy Klonowski
Amy Klonowski is our first quarter
Most Valuable Teammate. She came
upon a bad check on a member’s
account. Upon closer investigation,
she found three more checks that
had been returned due to a closed
account, fraud, and a forgery. Amy’s
detective work saved our credit union
big money. Great job, Amy!
