PRAY FOR VOCATIONS
The best way of supporting our New
Orleans Seminarians is by praying
for them.
Please pray this week for
James “Trey” Metrejean, III
Vacation Bible School (VBS) returns to St.
Clement in 2013 from June 10-14. We are in
need of MANY adults (who
have Safe Environment
Training Certificates) to
assist with this awesome
opportunity which gives all
of us a chance to grow in
relationship with Jesus
through the “treasures” of
our Catholic Faith. VBS offers Pre-K4-5th
graders a fun, faith-filled get-away during their
summer vacation. Sessions are daily from 9amnoon. Register! Volunteer! Deadline to register
is May 27th. Find all the forms and obtain more
information on our website www.scrparish.org

SECOND ANNUAL PRAYER VIGIL
Most Holy Trinity
Christ makes the point there is so much more to
share with the disciples but acknowledges they are
not capable of handling it at that point. As a result,
Christ assures them that the Holy Spirit will
continue to speak to them as they grow in their
ability to understand. As parents, we are called to
do the same with our children, to instruct and
discipline on the appropriate level according to
their understanding.
A SPECIAL INVITATION FOR OUR FAMILIES
Eucharistic Procession
for the Feast of Corpus
Christi on June 2nd at
St. Clement of Rome
following the 10:00 am
Mass. All are encouraged
to take part in the
procession, especially our
young children.
On Friday, June 7, there will be no 8:15 am Mass.
A special Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 pm for
the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This
Mass will conclude with Exposition of the Blessed
Sacrament and Adoration through the night until the
next morning, June 8. The Vigil will conclude on
Saturday with Benediction at 8:00 am. We invite
all parishioners to consider signing up after Mass
for one hour of adoration.
We are offering this Prayer Vigil for the following
intentions:
Pope Francis
The strengthening of the Christian family
An increase in the virtue of Christian joy
Mass Saturday morning will follow Benediction at
the 8:15 celebrating the Feast of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary. There will be a small gift for all
present at the Saturday morning Mass followed by
coffee and donuts.
Please join us in prayer for these three intentions as
we ask to be brought closer to the Sacred Heart of
Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Corpus Christi Procession
In the thirteenth century, a Belgian nun by
the name of Juliana had a vision: she saw the full
moon silvery and radiant except for one dark
spot. The meaning of the vision was revealed to
her: the moon was the Church's liturgical year,
the dark spot a missing feast in honor of the
Blessed Sacrament. Today's feast of Corpus
Christi--the Most Holy Body and Blood of
Christ--grew from Juliana's vision.
On this feast, many parishes observe the
traditional Corpus Christi procession, giving
honor to the Eucharist by carrying this greatest
treasure out of the safety of our churches and into
our streets. At the end of every Mass we are not
just let out, we are sent forth, strengthened by the
Eucharist, to be the Body of Christ in the world.
The Corpus Christi procession is the dismissal
writ large! We take Jesus with us, not only in our
hearts, but carried in our midst and exposed in a
monstrance. It is a public profession of faith and a
blessing of the world. Jesus walks with us on
these streets that we walk day after day, among
those who know him but yearn to know him
better, and among those who do not know him.
The Eucharist is a mystery to be believed, to be
celebrated--and to be lived.

Living Stewardship Now
God does not want us simply to acquire a set of beliefs in the Trinity or any of its three Persons, but to
leap into the divine embrace. What’s holding you back? What are you going to do about it?
