HOYTS Eastgardens launches
in every cinema - at no extra cost!
HOYTS Eastgardens has now reopened after extensive refurbishment, unveiling spacious, powered
recliner seating for extra comfort, in every seat and in every cinema, at no extra cost. Cinema goers
will be treated to an all new reclining movie experience, boasting extra room and extra comfort.
“We want to make a trip to the movies as enjoyable and memorable as possible”, said HOYTS Group
CEO, Damian Keogh. “That means extra comfort, in every seat and every cinema at no extra cost, for
every customer at HOYTS Eastgardens.”
Guests can enjoy their favourite candy bar treats, and with new licensing at Eastgardens, they can
purchase an alcoholic drink to enjoy in the cinema whilst they relax and recline. The new seating has
also been outfitted in the two existing Xtremescreen auditoriums - which boast the biggest screens
and sound in the complex.
“We’re all about putting our customers first – and making sure that every experience at the movies
goes above and beyond what they’re expecting”, said Keogh. “The addition of the recliners sets a new
benchmark in comfort – and with Xtremescreen providing the biggest screens and the best sound, for
a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Many customers have expressed their excitement on social media about their experience in the
ultimate reclining comfort already, “Best cinema experience I’ve had, very clean, friendly staff and
helpful, not much more you could ask for…definitely going back more often!”
The refurbishments have been completed just in time for superstar Daniel Craig’s return to the
big screen as James Bond in SPECTRE and the final instalment of the Hunger Games movies with
Mockingjay Part 2 both now showing, and the eagerly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens on
December 17 – where HOYTS has seen an unprecedented number of advance ticket sales. Tickets to
all of these titles are on sale now.

Enhancing the customer experience will ensure that the cinema remains Australia’s number
one form of entertainment.”
