The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia or better known as Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM)

Muslims and the Malay economy.

The Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia was established in June 1997 by a group of Muslim
professionals and individuals concerned about the challenges faced by Muslim consumers. The Association
strives to protect the interest of Muslim consumers globally. HALFEST provides the association a proactive
and strategic platform to disseminate information and educate Muslim consumers to ensure their integrity
and interest are preserved.
JOINTLY ORGANISED & MANAGED BY: Shapers Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SHAPERS)
In 2004, Shapers Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SHAPERS) founded the Malaysia International Halal Showcase
(MIHAS).Within three (3) years, SHAPERS had successfully developed MIHAS into the world’s largest halal
trade fair and Malaysia’s largest halal food and beverage exposition. In 2008, the ownership of this iconic
halal event was transferred to the Malaysian Government under the auspices of the Malaysia External Trade
Development Corporation (MATRADE). SHAPERS created Halal Fiesta Malaysia (HALFEST) in 2010 to meet
the needs of the local halal market. HALFEST provides a dynamic platform to nurture small and medium
sized halal entrepreneurs, to prepare them for the next phase of growth and to tap into the global halal
market through MIHAS.
