technologies
> We serve a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors: central and local
government, industrial, general building and civil engineering contractors, property
developers, project promoters,...
> We offer a complete range of geotechnical processes, special foundations, underground
works, ground improvement and pollution treatment and control.
> We are therefore able to :
· resolve geotechnical problems for our clients, and
· construct their foundation and underground civil works projects.
What are our competitive strengths?
> Our versatility, since we combine the skills of both main contractor and specialist:
· We are able to coordinate all of the required trades and offer turnkey solutions for major
complicated infrastructure projects involving underground works.
· We are careful to maintain our original core expertise: ground technology, generally

attention to small local contracts as we do to large international projects,
· We offer our clients a broad and flexible range of contractual options: technical
assistance, subcontract, main contract, design and construct, partnering…
Personnel safety above all
Safety performance is the precondition of all other aspects of performance, and it is the
first proof of the quality of service we offer to our clients.
The internal Victor prize, created in 2001,
is awarded each year for the best safety
performance recorded among the various
elements of our Group. The motivating effect
of this internal competition has resulted
in significant progress in our overall safety
performance.
Significant business units have already
succeeded in attaining our "Zero Accident"
target, showing everyone that this is an
attainable objective for all.
Our success in this area is confirmed by several
major external professional awards:
> First Prize for Safety from Entreprises Générales
de France - BTP.
> First Prize for the "Best Safety Performance
Subcontractor Award - Civil and Foundations
Section" in Hong Kong.
> Safety award presented by the Fédération
Nationale des Travaux Publics.
> “Tulsa District Eagle Eye Construction Safety
Award”, USA.
Our processes guarantee the quality
Urban diaphragm wall
The diaphragm wall process is a global solution to problems encountered by clients in city
centres: small building site areas, sites with noise restrictions, traffic restrictions, protection
of nearby buildings, use of environmentally - friendly products.

On-board electronics
Soletanche Bachy's commitment to new
excavation processes has led to tremendous
progress. It enables:
· correction of deviation of the excavation,
· accumulation of recorded information to
optimise efficiency and assist automatic
machine control,
· real-time, automatic print-outs of full reports
on all operational data (verticality, excavation
rate, depth, soil profile, obstructions, etc.).

Grouting
Grouting is a range of processes for soil
treatment that uses slurries to improve
the soil resistance or the soil permeability.
Soletanche Bachy applies major innovations
to the standard grouting processes, mainly in
the following two areas:
· The non-contaminating, long lasting
and highly penetrable grout,
· Electronics and computer technology
applied at every stage, thus offering
technical precision and transparency.
of your works
Monitoring and control
A s p e c i f i c control system developed by Soletanche Bachy allows real-time and precise
monitoring of pressure, volumes and rates of the grouting, in order to place the grout
exactly where it is required.
When underground works are located nearby existing buildings and structures,
compensation grouting must be used to guarantee optimal safety .
The grouting control system has been extended for this purpose by Soletanche Bachy to
integrate in a closed loop the real-time monitoring of soil movements offered by Geoscope
system (Soldata) the automatic control of grouting plants together with the anticipation of
settlements.
