Prayer of Confession
In Unison
Great and ever present God, whose mercy is an unexpected miracle: in Jesus Christ we offer your
presence at all times and in all places and conditions. Yet we confess that so often we do not recognize you
and your work that is in everything. Forgive us for the many ways we fail you.
(PAUSE for individual silent confession)
Teach us how to forgive and accept each other. Fill us with new life and renewed hope that you promise
us all in the power of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Responsively
Our God fulfills his promises and is true to his word. We have confessed our sins. God has forgiven us, because
Christ died for us.
Hallelujah! Amen!
