Instructions
1. Trim the flowers (with the help of
an adult) so they fit into the container
2. Fill the containers with water
:
What you need
• White flowers
(about 1/3 full)
3. Add a few drops of food colouring
to each container (make sure you only
use one colour per container!)
( you can use roses, carnations,
and daisies just to name a few )
4. Place the flowers in a sunny spot
• Food colouring
such as a windowsill

• Glasses or vases
• Scissors
5. Keep an eye on the flowers over the
next couple of days- they should turn
the colour of the water!

What you need:
Fold the paper or
fabric over the
frame and either
tape or sew it down
• Fabric or Paper
• Scissors
• Tape or thread
•String
• Woo den Sticks
Thread string through all
the notches creating
a diamond shape
Tie string from
top to bottom
then attach the
flying string 1/3
of the way down
• Help ing hand
from an adult

Cut notches into
ends of both sticks
Place smaller stick
on top of the longer
one, then use string
to tie together

Reinforce
with tape and
punch a hole
in the top
Then cut your
paper or fabric
slightly longer then
the kite frame
