All of the auction catalogues are now fully integrated to a new back office system supported by Microsoft Dynamics NAV. If you are an existing customer we will create a new online account for you, and you can modify your auction alert preferences to make sure you receive only the auction alert emails that are relevant to your interests. Your My Sworders account allows you to place absentee bids in the knowledge that they will be transferred to our systems in real time. You can modify or cancel bids up to 30 minutes before the sale start time, and you will receive automated email confirmations throughout the process. If you forget to place absentee bids the site will direct you to live bidding half an hour before the sale start time. Our new wishlist functionality allows you to ‘follow’ the lots that interest you leading up to a sale. Plus our register your interest function lets you choose lots of interest from previous sales so that if a similar item is entered into a future sale you will be informed by email. Our new post auction email alerts will tell you within hours of the sale finishing the lot that you have been successful on, and those you didn’t win with their winning hammer prices. You can then settle your invoices directly using our secure SagePay online payment facility by clicking on a link within your post auction email, logging into your My Sworders account or using the Make a Payment page. We hope you find the new web design and functionality at Sworders easy to use, and wish you the best of luck bidding on the extensive range of items coming up for sale in 2015. www.sworder.co.uk [email protected] 01279 817778 3 Registration & Login How To Register The registration process is very straightforward. We ask for some basic details along with you auction department interests. Gauging your interests ensures that we only communicate to you with item(s) of interest. You can unsubscribe to our auction alert emails at any time. Once registered you can place absentee bids, change or cancel bids, and pay invoices online. How To Login Once you have an account you can login using the button to the top right of the website or the key icon on mobile devices. You will need to enter your email address as the username and then the password that was provided, or chosen. You can change your password once logged in using the My Account section of the My Sworders section of the site. If you forget your password you can use the password reminder function. www.sworder.co.uk [email protected] 01279 817778 4 Bidding Online The new website offers a real time absentee bidding experience to all logged in users. When viewing a catalogue in either list view, or when browsing through lot detail views for upcoming sales you will see a place bid button. (If you are not logged in this button will say login to bid) Clicking on the place bid button on any lot will open an overlay on the desktop/tablet, or a reveal with smartphone devices allowing you to enter a bid. It is important to note that the bid will be rounded up to the nearest bidding increment for the value being entered. These are clearly explained in the bidding window. On submitting the bid you will see a message explaining that your bid has been submitted to the bid basket. You will then be offered the opportunity to continue bidding, or to submit your bids. If you choose to submit the bid/s they will be passed in real time to our auction management system and lodged against the sale. You will then receive a bid confirmation email, containing all of the bids for that auction. This will include a breakdown of the bid values and any buyers premium. It is important to note that these figures will represent the maximum for the bid and you may win the items at a rate lower than that stated. You can at any time when logged in browse the catalogue and see items that you have placed bids on. It is easy to then change or cancel a bid from this view. Alternatively you can make changes by going to the My Sworders section of the website. www.sworder.co.uk [email protected] 01279 817778 5 Once an auction has finished and the auctioneer has checked everything the website will issue a post auction email to every bidder. There is a button to click that will take you through to your My Invoices section of the website (after login) where you can pay securely using our SagePay payment gateway. The email notification will tell you clearly the lots that you have been successful on and the price at which they sold. It will also show the buyers premium inclusive of VAT and provide a total amount due. Alternatively you can visit the Make A Payment page in the Buying section of the website and enter your email address and your invoice number, and the system will retrieve your invoice and allow you to make an online payment. www.sworder.co.uk [email protected] 01279 817778 6 Using Our Website Other functionality The Add to Wishlist function allows logged in users to browse a catalogue and click a button to add lots of interest to a wishlist. The wishlist items are stored in your My Sworders section of the website where you can then view a personalised catalogue and decide on which items to bid on. This allows collectors to filter broader catalogues down to just the items of interest and to focus on those items in a custom catalogue view. Each item in the wishlist will display in the same manner as a standard catalogued listing allowing you to place an absentee bid. Personalised Catalogues Another new feature on the website is the ability to turn a wishlist catalogue for an upcoming sale into a personal catalogue PDF and download it directly to your desktop. This can be particularly useful if you are planning to attend the saleroom, or bid using a live bidding service, as it allows you to focus on the lots you are interested in and make notes as the sale progresses. To use this feature simply add items to your wishlist and go to the My Sworders section of the website and click the create a catalogue button above the chosen auction. (Note this function only works with future sales and cannot be used on archived sales) www.sworder.co.uk [email protected] 01279 817778 7 Email marketing preferences Sworders want to make sure that you only ever receive marketing communciatons that are entirely relevant to your interests. To that end our new emarketing system is designed to allow you to change your preferences at any time. Simply log into your My Sworders account and go to the My Preferences section. Here you will be able to indicate the departments that you want to receive email alerts from. Sworders typically email a sale alert to interested users 10 days before a sale, and then on the morning of the sale. From time to time we may send out an email newsletter to subscribers. You can unsubscribe from any email communications at any time using the link at the foot of all of our emails. Requesting a Valuation Our new valuation service is available online from any of the department pages. Simply browse to the relevant department and fill in the details requested. You can then add photographs of the item to help the valuer to see your item. We always suggest that you try and take the best photos possible. Modern smartphones have excellent cameras. Make sure that you photograph the item under good lighting conditions and try to take photographs that are in focus. When adding a description to items try to include as much detail as possible. Valuations supplied on the basis of a website form submission are subject to review on sight of the physical item and should be treated as indicative. www.sworder.co.uk [email protected] 01279 817778
