Workshop #2:
Having an attractive and well-manicured low water garden doesn’t mean you are stuck with a sparse and
unattractive landscape of cacti and rocks. You can have a lovely lush landscape with healthy plants and
grasses that tolerate the Okanagan summer heat and dry conditions.
Xeriscape™ is an approach to landscaping using appropriate design, soil preparation, smart irrigation, plant
selection, mulching and maintenance. Xeriscape™ (and native) plants are more pest resistant, require less
fertilizer and can reduce outdoor water consumption by as much as 50 % while maintaining the quality and
beauty of your landscape.
Learn the seven steps of xeriscaping at our November workshop. Eva will provide expert information, advice
and examples of designing and planting with native and drought tolerant plants.
