You can have a lovely lush landscape with healthy plants and grasses that tolerate the Okanagan summer heat and dry conditions. Xeriscape™ is an approach to landscaping using appropriate design, soil preparation, smart irrigation, plant selection, mulching and maintenance. Xeriscape™ (and native) plants are more pest resistant, require less fertilizer and can reduce outdoor water consumption by as much as 50 % while maintaining the quality and beauty of your landscape. Learn the seven steps of xeriscaping at our November workshop. Eva will provide expert information, advice and examples of designing and planting with native and drought tolerant plants. Eva Antonijevic Biography Eva is the Community Program Director at the Summerland Ornamental Gardens where big strides are being made in water conservation initiatives.
