On Friday afternoon we had our very last talk at Celebrate Me Week
Celebrate Me Week Saturday July 19, 2014 Volume 26; Issue 6 On Friday afternoon we had our very last talk at Celebrate Me Week 2014. Sam Beech talked to us about leadership. Sam reminded us how special we are, and that God has a plan for all of us. Sometimes life gets hard and we have a hard time understanding God’s plan, which can cause us to lose faith and fall into a canyon of inferiority. However, we learned at CMW this week that we can’t lose our faith. Even though it is easy to conform, we have to stick to God’s plan for us. This week all of our lives have changed. Sam told us that some of our friends might not like who you have become, but if they are true friends, they will accept you and love you for who you are. It is so important that when we leave camp we continue to be leaders. Sam told us about when he was bullied in seventh grade, and how he tried to get through it alone. But he realized that wasn’t going to work. Sam needed to surround himself with good friends, his family, and keep God in his life. Sam finished up his talk with the quote from Ghandi, “be the change you wish to see in the world”. If we live our life the way God wants us to, people are going to want to be like us. Leaving Heaven on Earth and going out into the real world is hard, but if you keep God, family, friends, and CMW in your life, it will be a lot easier. All of us changed from the time we entered the gates of Camp Patterson on Sunday, to when we left on Friday. We are ready. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! I'm top of the I am lovable and capable (IALAC). line, because I'm Be you, everyone else is taken! God's design. We all have a diamond inside…BOOM! It's my responsibility to have a good day.
