Squash Book

You need:
2 pieces 5 1/4” x 5 1/4” chipboard
2 pieces 6” x 6” Patterened Paper (A) (cover)
2 pieces 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” Patterned Paper (B) cut in half diagonally
1 piece 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” Patterned Paper (C) cut in half diagonally
2 pieces 10” x 10” cardstock (Color 1)
1 piece 10” x 10” cardstock (Color 2)
Cardstock Color 3 - 1 piece - 3” x 4 1/2” (cover piece)
2 pieces - 3 3/4” x 4 3/4” (photo mats)
Cardstock Color 4 - 1 piece - 3 1/4” x 4 3/4” (Cover piece)
2 pices - 3 3/4” x 4 3/4” (photo mats)
Scraps cardstock color 1 for cutting letters and making label
1 Sassafras Lass die cut letter sheet
1 Sassafrass Lass Embellishment sheet
Ribbon - 1 yard
Embellishments - label holder, more if desired
Dimensional adhesive dots or tape, red line tape or other strong adhesive,
glue stick, scrapbooking adhesive
Cover
Using glue stick, rub all over the back of 6” x 6” paper and adhere to chipboard cover, centering chipboard inside paper. Cut paper overhanging each
corner (see diagram 1) diagonally almost to corner of chip board. Press the
paper up against the corner of chipboard, then bring excess around to back
side and adhere.
Pages
Score 3 pieces of 10” x 10” (Color 1 & 2) as follows: horizontally at 5”,
vertically at 5” and diagonally from lower left to upper right corner (see
diagram 2). Fold color 1 pages so that horizontal and vertical folds are valley
folds and diagonal fold is a mountain fold. Fold color 2 page (center page)
so that horizontal and vertical folds are mountain folds and diagonal fold is a
valley fold. Open up all pages. Adhere center page (color 2) over lower right
hand corner of top page and over upper left hand corner of bottom page using red line adhesive.
Assemble Basic Album
Using red line adhesive, adhere front cover to back of upper left hand corner
of top page, making sure that the direction of the paper is correction oriented
(It will look sideways with top of cover over center fold, but will be correct
when closed). Adhere back cover to back of lower right hand corner of bottom page, again making sure the direction of the paper is correctly oriented
(this time right side up with top of back cover at fold.)

Fold album up. Fold ribbon in two. Using red line tape, adhere ribbon to horizontal center of front cover so that
ribbon will tie at the right side.
Embellish Album
Cut letters using die cut machine for cover. Adhere two pieces of cardstock indicated for the cover together
(Color 3 on top of Color 4). Using these and Sassafras Lass letter sheet and embellishment sheets, embellish
cover and inside pages as shown or do your ownwthing!. Photo mats may be cut down to fit in pages or to fit the
photos you have. See page 2 for individual pages and embellishments used.
