September 1st is the beginning of a new Church year! Where has the time gone? School starts back next week! Sum‐
mer has come to a close! I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the workers and leaders in Sunday School. We have had another GREAT year in the Lord! Mark your calendars now for our annual Sunday School Banquet on Saturday, September 13th at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is for all 2013‐2014 and 2014‐2015 Teachers and Workers. More details later but be sure to put it on your calendar now. The Youth will promote up on Sunday, August 3rd. The Preschool and Children will NOT promote up until Sunday, Sep‐
tember 7th. Our goal for the new Church year is to GROW our Sunday School. Teachers, please discuss with your class ways to make contacts and try to get our people back into Bible study. I will be available to help you in any way I can. As we begin this new year, please let me know if you need anything for your classroom or any aid to help you in teach‐
ing. Does your class need a facelift? Let me know. Do you need supplies of Sunday School Report for July 2014

Shoe Collection for SOLES 4 SOULS – Back to school shoe time?
Remember, when your shoes or your children’s shoes need to be replaced, DON’T JUST
THROW THE OLD ONES AWAY! IF THEY ARE STILL IN GOOD, USABLE CONDITION, BRING
THEM TO THE SHOE COLLECTION BOX IN THE LISBON WELCOME CENTER; collection
continuing through August 10th.
SOLES for SOULS will use ANY SIZE shoes, ANY STYLE shoes, or ANY COLOR shoes as
witnessing tools to spread the message of Christ to the lost around the world.
SCHOOL STAFF WELCOME BACK – We can not believe it! Our school children’s summer
is almost over! The teachers and staffs at our 3 local schools have already started back
on Thursday, July 31st. To welcome these hard working, dedicated people back and
cheer them on, we will be providing the staffs at each of our three neighboring schools
with a HOME-MADE ICE CREAM TREAT on Monday, August 4th for Sara Harp Minter Elementary and Wednesday, August 6th for the staffs at Whitewater Middle and Whitewater High Schools.
If you can help with this, please sign up on the sheet in the welcome center. We will
need 7 gallons on Monday and 17 gallons of ice cream on Wednesday.
UPCOMING MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
September, our month for collecting food for the FAYETTE SAMARITANS, is almost here!
Mark your calendars now as a reminder to put a little more non-perishable food items in
your grocery cart to bring to church to help those in need.
