Op het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds podium op het Museumplein staat ook dit jaar
tijdens de Uitmarkt weer aanstormend en gevestigd talent. Zij kregen voor hun
initiatief of grote talent een beurs of bijdrage van het Cultuurfonds en behoren
daarmee tot de duizenden projecten die jaarlijks worden ondersteund.

Welkom op de Uitmarkt!
Grote namen, jong aanstormend talent, debuterende schrijvers, knutselende kids, verrassende
acts, de nieuwste stukken en bijzondere collecties: dit zijn enkele van de ingrediënten waarmee
we de 38e Uitmarkt weer tot een groot cultureel feest willen maken.
Het aanbod is enorm gevarieerd. Klassieke muziekliefhebbers zullen zich verheugen op het
Rotterdams Philharmonisch, violiste Lisa Jacobs, een uur lang opera en veel Beethoven. Voor de
dansliefhebbers komen onder andere NDT2, ICKamsterdam, LeineRoebana, Scapino Ballet
Rotterdam en Conny Janssen Danst in actie. Naast Shakespeare, ook previews van nieuwe
toneelproducties als Borgen en Van Waveren, de Nederlandse Heimat. Heel veel cabaret, op
zaterdag alleen al eenentwintig cabaretiers op één lange middag, en een marathon aan
voorpremières, documentaires, klassiekers en korte films in De Balie. En dan hebben we het nog
niet gehad over Uitmarkt Boeken en Uitmarkt Junior of het musical meezingspektakel op
zondagavond. En dat de Uitmarkt voor alle leeftijden is, getuigt het grote aanbod aan popbandjes,
dance, hiphop en natuurlijk de silent disco en Dewtour.
Ondanks al die fantastische grote artiesten is de Uitmarkt pas echt compleet door ruim baan te
geven aan jong talent. En dat doen we letterlijk. Het jong talent wordt extra zichtbaar gemaakt
door de Yellow Brick Road. Deze gele lijn baant zich een weg over de Uitmarkt dwars door en over
podia, overal waar het jonge talent de confrontatie met het publiek aangaat. We hebben twee
speciale routes samengesteld, die u kunt volgen om niets te missen van al hun optredens. U vindt
deze routes op pagina 16.
Het is juist de combinatie die de Uitmarkt zo aantrekkelijk maakt: geniet van de vele grote
artiesten van nu en ga op ontdekkingstocht naar de grote namen van morgen. Dit is de Uitmarkt

• There are two fixed networks of 107 locations and one network of 184 rotating
locations available for culture, events and city marketing. These locations are
distributed throughout the city.
• The 184 MUPI signs have a rotation mechanism for up to 3 billboard posters.
The rotation effect creates a high attention value.
• Amsterdam Marketing wants as many cultural parties as possible to be able to
compete for MUPIs in the city, therefore it is not possible to retain the same
billboard posters through to the following week.

• The CabTab is a tablet placed in a taxi that provides passengers with information on attractions and areas worth visiting. The tablet is interactive and

maanden later begon zijn zegetocht.

Van Muiswinkel & Van Vleuten uit elkaar
viel, kreeg laatstgenoemde een telefoontje van zijn vader. De volgende dag stond
hij bij zijn zoon op de stoep met het complete Indië-archief van hun familie. In
dat archief zaten onder andere de memoires van Oom
Jan. Van Vleuten besloot al snel een soloprogramma te
maken over deze ‘Volstrekt Onbekende Nederlander’
en zijn avonturen in De Oost. Hij bleek er een zeer ge-

Visitor Profile Research Metropolitan Amsterdam 2015
In 2015, we have conducted a large visitor-profile study in the metropolitan area of Amsterdam. About 9,000 visitors (business
and leisure) were interviewed throughout the year in various locations around the metropolitan area. These face-to-face
interviews included questions about leisure, stay and origin. This research will lead to further understanding of Amsterdam
visitors’ characteristics and their constantly changing wishes and expectations. Based on these results, we can provide new
visitor profiles. Key points in these profiles are orientation and decision-making, but they also include information about
activities, expenditures, satisfaction and frequency of visits. Each participant also filled in information about several sociodemographic characteristics, such as age, country of origin and gender.
Sub-study reports of Visitor Profile Research for your organisation/location
The results of this large-scale research will be presented in 2016. The basic report will be published in July 2016.

Visitor Insight is a tool for corporate and cultural institutions to follow the latest tourist developments. This website
application gives an clear view of the actual situation by comparing visitor data in an easy and accessible way. Visitor Insight
is based on a number of indicators, such as: total amount of overnight stays; number of visitors in museums, attractions and
theatres; and the number of incoming international passengers at the airport (excluding transit passengers).
