ORDER OF SERVICE Subject to change through the power and moving of the Holy Ghost! SUNDAY, JUNE 26, 2016 Call to Worship and Processional Prayer Scripture Reading Praise and Worship Meet and Greet Announcements Ministry of the Choir Greetings from the Senior Pastor The Offertory Today’s Focus: Outreach Ministry of the Choir The Word of God Pastor James Sears, Morning Services Bishop Lambert W. Gates, Sr., Evening Service Invitation to Christ Benediction MORNING HYMN SCRIPTURE READING BAPTIZED INTO THE BODY ST. MATTHEW 24-32 Have you been baptized into the body Baptized with the Holy Ghost There is but one way to enter in it Just as they did on Pentecost 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. There is but one Church, bride, or body And into it we’re all baptized By the one, true, promised Holy Spirit Though by the world we’re all despised 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Every creed has claimed to be the body But the plumb line proved untrue All their dreams, for God has so determined To bring His Son’s true bride to view 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? When the Bridegroom comes, will you be ready And your vessel all filled and bright You will be among the foolish virgins If you do not walk in the light 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Chorus Are you in the church triumphant Are you in the Savior’s bride Come and be baptized into the body And forevermore abide 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? SERMON NOTES 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. ANNOUNCEMENTS The Spiritual Life Institute presents its new series titled “Knowing God through Knowing His Word.” Join facilitator Evangelist Patty Moore today through July 31 on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. for this course that will provide basic Bible knowledge and practical skills for relationship development. Beginning Sunday, July 3, Mt. Zion members and friends are asked to embrace the spirit of generosity by making donations through the Christmas in July Giving Campaign. The purpose is to collect gifts early to avoid the last minute rush during the holidays. We are asking for donations of gift cards, toys, books, socks, gloves, hats, scarves and any other items that a child or adult would like. Mt. Zion will host the summer session of the Indiana State Conference and Holy Convocation July 7-9. Our speakers are Elder David Hollis, Bishop Liston Page, District Elder Michael Ford, Jr., and Pastor Shane Perry. For complete details, visit indianapcaf.org. The PCAF national convention takes place in Detroit, Michigan July 22-27. This year’s convention includes elections in which a new presiding bishop and other officers will be named, a special banquet honoring our current Presiding Bishop J.E. Moore, and a midnight concert featuring national recording artist Fred Hammond. Visit pcaf.org for more details and to register. Mt. Zion’s Fresh Anointing Conference and 94th church Anniversary is just 3 months away! This is our signature event of the year and everyone is strongly encouraged to register and participate. We welcome churches, pastors, ministry leaders, and people from all walks of life to come and partake of this anointed and powerful weekend of learning and worship. This year’s conference will feature Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Horace Smith, and Bishop J. Drew Sheard, along with other speakers and guest music groups. Join us September 15-18. Don’t miss it! Singers of all ages are wanted for the various choirs and praise teams. Sign up in the foyer with Worship & Sacred Arts Ministries to share your voice that God has blessed you with.
