Now we are preparing to enter into a new school year and begin a new venture in faith as we continue to embrace the call to homeschool our children. At times, this calling can be so intense that it is all we think about. In fact, it may seem as though we never get our heads out of the homeschooling mode. Yet, the world doesn’t stop orbiting and life continues on the path that our sovereign God has intended it to travel. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes a specific time in history known as “the last days.” And it says that those days will be troublesome or perilous. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Each time I read that passage of Scripture; I can’t help but believe we’re living in those days. I’m conscience of the fact that God has told us to keep an eye on Israel, as what occurs to Israel in the final chapter will be the gauge of eschatological events. So, with Jesus in our sights, let us press forward with our goals. Keeping in mind that God has a greater spiritual purpose for each of us than we could ever imagine. Let us not forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem… we’re living in exciting times folks. Look up, for your redemption draws near. God bless you all, Gary and Janine Yamamoto Prov. 3:5, 6 3
