Buttermilk Creek Park

This 20-acre park, in the northwestern sector of the community, provides a number of facilities, including a very popular amphitheater.
The amphitheater is used for symphonic band and other performance events.

Columbia Park
N10340 Calumet Harbor Road
A 19-acre county park located on Lake Winnebago. Best known for its boating facilities. A four-slip marina is available for annual rentals, along with overnight docking for another 40–50
boats on 900 ft. of harbor wall. Six boat launches and parking for 100 cars and trailers are available. A 70-foot observation tower and navigation beacon mark the harbor entrance.

Over 6000 acres of land. Heavily used for hunting deer, geese, ducks, pheasant, wild turkey and trapping.
A trail runs through the center of the marsh, permitting the visitor to observe wildlife at close range. Canoeing.
Fairgrounds Park

Adjacent to the Fairgrounds Waterpark. Shelter is available for private gatherings, parties, company picnics, etc.
Gottfried Prairie

Located at UW-Fond du Lac, the Arboretum has 42 acres of native prairie. This outdoor recreation facility includes about 0.8 miles of
walking trails and an established interpretive trail with 12 signs introducing visitors to the prairie. www.gottfriedarboretum.org
Highway 45 Wayside

Approximately eight acres in size and is located on the west shore of Lake Winnebago about three miles north of Fond du Lac.
Includes a 4-lane concrete ramp, loading pier, breakwall and large parking lot. Shore fishing also available.
Hobbs Woods

A 60-acre county park devoted to hiking and nature study. About three miles of nature trails, which are keyed to a self-guiding brochure, wind through the park.

This 120-acre park has well groomed and hilly trails, woodlands and a small stream. In addition,
the park is part of the Niagara Escarpment and has a high ledge with an overlook tower.

Two separate launches; one with a four-lane concrete ramp, loading piers and parking for 20 rigs and the other launch with
two concrete ramps, loading piers and large blacktop parking. Lighthouse, amusement rides, canoe rentals and covered bridge.

This park has 12 concrete launching ramps, loading piers and large blacktop parking area. Dog friendly.
Lallier Park

Adjacent to DeNeveu Creek, Lallier Park is a wedge-shaped parcel and includes 2.3 acres of area.
A pathway running the length of the park is popular with area walkers, joggers and cyclists.
Lemieux Park

Located adjacent to the east bank of Lake DeNeveu Creek, this park covers 14.7 acres.
Beautifully landscaped and provides sufficient open area for a variety of passive and active recreational activities.
Mullet Creek Wildlife Area

Rustic 2,217 acre property located in east-central Fond du Lac County. Popular for hunting waterfowl, wild and stocked ring-necked pheasant,
wild turkey, cottontail rabbit, gray and fox squirrel, ruffed grouse, woodcock, red fox, coyote, raccoon and deer. Trapping. Canoeing.

Riggs Park

At 300 acres, this is the County’s largest park. Planned as a largely natural area park with
180 acres of wetlands, 70 acres of native prairie restoration and about 50 acres of active recreation.

A three-acre park on the southeast shore of Lake Winnebago. The long, narrow park offers about 900 feet of Lake Winnebago shoreline.
Popular spot during the summer months for swimming and boaters often anchor offshore and wade to the park for picnics.
Windsurfing has become a popular activity off the park because of its locations on the windward shore. Kayak rentals available.
Shaginappi Park

A natural area of 100 acres of wetlands, lakeshore, woods and prairie. Situated adjacent to Columbia Park, the park shares
Calumet Harbor. Pipe Creek also winds through the property. Primary attractions are hiking, skiing and snowmobiling trails.
Taylor Park

This wooded 10.5-acre site provides recreation facilities in the west central portion of Fond du Lac. One of the
City’s two outdoor pools is located here. The park contains several Indian mounds and a historic pavilion structure.

Waupun County Park
825 County Park Road, Waupun
Second largest county park at 103 acres. The northeastern 40 acres of the park is designated as
State Natural Area #51 with hiking and skiing trails. It is an excellent example of southern mesic hardwood forest.
Wolf Lake Park
St. Cloud
This four-acre park provides a one lane boat launch with a swimming beach facility. The Wolf Lake boat launch is the only public access to the 76-acre lake.
