Josh and Christal Ewing - Castleberry Baptist Church
Josh and Christal Ewing
Hello and thank you for taking time to read this letter. I wanted to
take a few moments to let you know how excited I am, as well as my wife, to
be involved with the youth group as well as Castleberry Church. I feel
blessed and honored to be teaching the word of God to such wonderful young
adults. Below are two different Bio sections on both my wife and me. Since
my wife will be heavily involved with the youth I had her write a short Bio on
herself. I hope to get to know you, the parents and church members over
the next several months. If you have any thoughts or concerns do not
hesitate to contact me or my wife.
Josh’s Bio: I grew up all over the country. I have lived in eleven
different states, some more than once. My father was in the Air Force for
23 years. I actually lived, for those who remember, on the Joint Reserve
Base back when it was called Carswell, AFB in Fort Worth. My family has
since settled down in Benton, Kentucky so I guess I’ll say that is where I am
from. I have two younger brothers, a younger sister, five nieces and two
nephews (one on the way).
When I was fourteen years old I accepted Jesus Christ as my
personal Lord and Savior. I am thankful I grew up in a house hold that
encouraged me to grow in both knowledge and in faith regarding Him. While
serving as a summer Missionary in Eastern Europe, the summer before I
began college, God called me into the ministry. At the time I was not
thrilled about it but now cannot imagine not being apart of His work.
I received my undergraduate degree at Louisiana College than attend
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where I earned my Masters in
Christian Education. Currently, I work at AIG in Dallas as a Lost Time Claims
Adjuster. I am also attending Amberton Univsersity to become a Licensed
Professional Counselor. My wife has told me this is the last degree I am
allowed to get!
Likes: Anything made of chocolate, NASCAR, writing, my wife’s
cooking, good jokes, and traveling.
Dislikes: Not a fan of traffic, bossy people, sudden loud noises, small
dogs, and awkward situations.
Christal’s Bio: Unlike my husband I am a proud native of Texas. I grew up
just outside Waco in a small community called China Spring. While growing
up I had the privilege of raising several different types of animals-cows,
pigs, chickens, and goats. My brother lives in Odessa with his family and is a
proud U.S. Marine.
I am a proud believer of Jesus Christ and love spending time in church
with fellow Christians. I enjoy listening to sermons and church fellowships!
I am so proud of my husband following God’s clear call on his life to be in
ministry. I am slowly learning what it means to be the wife of a minister but
he says I’m doing a fantastic job.
My college years were spent at the University of Texas in Arlington.
It was there I received my B.B.A. in Business. I currently work for
Commercial Metals as a Claims and Risk Management Analyst. This fall I will
begin classes to get my A.R.M. (Associates in Risk Management).
Likes: My small dog Bailey (Tea cup Yorkie), anything crafty,
gardening, sushi, board games, kids, and anything Paris related.
Dislikes: Public speaking, creepy crawlies, Root Beer, silly guy movies,
and doing dishes.
Thank you for taking time to read this letter. I look forward to
getting to know the youth group and you over the next weeks and months. I
am currently organizing my curriculum and scheduling activities for the
youth group. I will be sure to keep you informed as to what is being taught
on Sunday and Wednesday nights. If you have any thoughts or concerns do
not hesitate to contact me or my wife. My contact information is listed
below. If you call during the day there is a good chance you will get my voice
mail but I will do my best to call you back that evening.
