Brendan Shanahan
Born to Irish parents in Mimico of West Toronto, NHL great Brendan
Shanahan is a highly respected NHL star... one of the best defensemen
everto have laced up a pair of skates.
Brendan has won three Stanley Cups and represented Canada at the
World Championships, the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics.

The St. Patrick's Parade Society is proud to rally public support for Variety - The Children's
Charity.
A CURBSIDE COLLECTION for cash donations will help fund services and outreach programs
at Variety Village, the flagship of Variety - The Children's Charity. Focusing on ability and
not disability, Variety Village serves children with special needs and their families, including
3,000 children and youth on a weekly basis. The Village's adaptive physical recreation and
integrated sports programs use a proven and fully integrated model to help children of all
abilities develop a greater sense of independence, self-worth, confidence and well-being.
