March Mustang Update
Principal’s Corner
Spring has already sprung at Banta! The grass is
growing, the trees are blooming, and the ground
squirrels are out and about in the afternoons! As
we say good-bye to the cold blustery days, we are
excited that we have a full slate of fun and exciting thigs to offer our students this Spring!
We hope you’ll join us this month for Dr. Seuss
Day, Movie night and of course our 2nd Annual
Father vs. Son basketball game! From Basketball
tournaments to field trips and dances, Mustangs
have many opportunities for enrichment this
Spring!
As we return from Spring Break we will move into
our State testing zone, and will ask that you help us
be successful by ensuring that your child is at
school each day, and is able to be their best self!
Thank you for another wonderful month at Banta,
and I wish all of you a very Happy Easter and
Spring Break!
I wis you all a wonderful Spring and a veryhappy

March Mustang Update Continued
2016/2017 School Year!
At the February School Board Meeting our new calendar was approved for next school year! We
thought you might like an early copy to help with your travel plans.
Join the Birthday Book Club!
Donate a book to the Banta School Library in honor of your child! Stop in the library to
purchase a book form Mrs. Lopez’ selections. or bring in your own, new, hard cover book
that you purchased yourself. Please note: All books donated are subject to the approval
of the librarian.
If you make arrangements to donate the book at least 1 week prior to your child’s
birthday, it will be delivered to your child’s classroom on his or her birthday! Summer
birthdays may receive a book on their half-birthday. A bookplate with your child’s name
will be placed on the inside cover of the book and it will be checked out to them first. It
then becomes part of the Banta permanent library collection. Your child’s “Birthday Balloon” will be on the wall during the month of his or her birthday or half-birthday.
Books may also be donated to honor your child’s teacher or a staff member for a birthday or
holiday and the book will be delivered to their class. Books may also be donated for other
special occasions, e.g. to remember a classmate who is moving.
Please help our library and create a special memory for your child!
