Before l forget- you heard that our beloved principal, Mr
M.Mbane, was promoted in December 2012? He’s warmly
congratulated by the entire Xolani family. More to come!
We have, once more, celebrated the end-of-year results.
Especially the Grade 12s’. Special mention has to be made
of the improvement in the Maths & Science departments.
Thanks to Kuthlwanong! History, isiXhosa, Life Sciences
and Tourism obtained 100% passes. Keep it up!
Throughout the term the school has been buzzing with
activity. Learners participated in Athletics and went as far
as the ……………level. Our Grade 12s participated in
the Annual SOPA Speech contests. Cebo Klaas outshined
the District in the isiXhosa HL. Gift Shelembe kept on
bullying till he reached the final Provincial Level! That
achievement afforded him the opportunity to be one of
the Guests of Honour in the Opening of the Eastern Cape
2013 Parliamentary Session! The fisrt course was a night
in one of KWTs Three-Star B&Bs! Thus he opened doors
for our Grade 12s to the Schools Parliamentary Debate!

Jewels and sparkles
take me there
Transport me from a
world of care
To that place all girls
can share
Destination: what to
wear?
Dress me up can
hardly wait
All dolled up can't be
late
Just as pretty as can
be
For a night of fantasy
-
Dazzling swirls of
sparkling light
Colours dancing in
the night
Sweetest dreams
are coming true
May I have this
dance with you?
Too soon it's over,
heading home
Standing at my door
alone -
One sweet kiss to say
goodnight
One cosy hug; all is
right
Tomorrow plain and ordinary
But with my memories
fond and fair .

“ Fun facts ” South Africa
South Africa is now the only country in the world to have
hosted the Soccer, Cricket and Rugby World Cup!

Table Mountain in Cape Town is believed to be one of
the oldest mountains in the world and one of the planet’s
12 main energy centres, radiating magnetic, electric or
spiritual energy

The Cape Floral Kingdom is one of the world’s six floral
kingdoms – and the only one which is wholly contained
within a single country.

Some countries have deserts; some have subtropical
forests, right? South Africa has: deserts, wetlands, grasslands, bush, subtropical forests, mountains and escarpments.

South Africa’s drinking water is rated 3rd best in the
world for being “safe and ready to drink”.

Water is not all there is to drink in this thirsty country!
South Africa’s Cape Winelands have around 560 wineries
and 4 400 primary producers. Included in the Cape Winelands region is Route 62, considered the longest wine route
in the world. That alone is good reason to visit South Africa
if you haven’t yet been!

“Science Festival” by Ntokozo
On the 18th of March 2013, Science learners from grade 10, 11 and 12 took part in a Science
Festival in Grahamstown.
This is what they have to say:
* We attended a science workshop related to how DNA can be used to
fight crime and solve problems in identifying biological parents.
* We took part in a lecture on how cloning can be used in plastic surgery.
* Several apparatus including microscopes, voltmeters and many more
were used in practical investigations were displayed.
* Rhodes university students from the faculty of pharmacy demonstrated
how cheap Vaseline can be improved by adding a certain chemical to
form expensive perfumed creams.

Life
Life
What is life?
I ask myself that everyday
I wonder if I was not here
How would I feel the pain?
Anger and happiness and sadness
In life there are two things to choose from
A cup full of aloe and a cup full of honey
That is in life you first live a hard life
Then in future when you have your own things
Your life will be smooth
To me life is like a long road in which you get tired, thirsty and hungry and give
up like it is the end, but its only the beginning.

Unlimited funds have allowed
Diana (Melissa McCarthy) to
live it up on the outskirts of Miami, where the queen of retail
buys whatever strikes her fancy.
There's only one glitch: The ID
she's using to finance these
sprees reads "Sandy Bigelow
Patterson"... and it belongs to
an accounts rep (Jason Bateman) who lives halfway across
the U.S. With only one week to
hunt down the con artist before
his world implodes, the real
Sandy Bigelow Patterson heads
south to confront the woman
with an all-access pass to his
life. And as he attempts to bribe,
coax and wrangle her 2,000
miles to Denver, one easy target will discover just how tough
