Twinkle twinkle, babies. It’s your favorite “starchild”
buzzin’ among the stars with a little chitterchat…
Been on hiatus for a sec. Sooooo much going on –
globally and locally…and BOTH! But EYE had to drop in for
a little chitchat. So here we go…
Okay, so everybody’s buzzin’ about Tiger Woods’ return (GO TIGER! LOVE THE NEW COMMERCIAL!) and
how bad we feel for Sandra Bullock (and we DO). You got
enough of THAT all over the news. So we won’t even go
there! Moving on…
Sources are reporting that Kim Kardashian and
Reggie Bush didn’t break up after all (like I think you really
care) because she was pressuring him to get married. It was
actually because Kim SLEPT with Kanye West!!! OOOKAY!
(like you really care!) Or that’s how certain media are spinning it. Personally, I say he’s having the time of his life and
didn’t want to settle down. I mean, some folks are good to
pal around with but you don’t want to make it legal with
papers and everything. Alls I’m say is…well anyway… that’s
just the way EYE see it. LOL No stars for this.
Shout out to Actor Danny Glover, arrested on April
16th in Maryland after armed police cracked down on a massive protest rally. Danny and 11 other people were taken into
custody outside of the headquarters of Sodexo, Inc., where
protesters were rallying against the business practices of the
food management giant. He was given a citation and later
released, telling cameras, “We’re moving to make some real
positive changes.” Gotta love those who use their clout to
stand for something. 5 stars to Danny!
A little concerned about my girl, Nippy – aka Whitney
Houston. Her voice and her concert performances overseas having been falling flat and have been put on temporary
hiatus as she recovers from a respiratory element. Still, respiratory complications aside, I feel something else is still going
on with Whitney…and I hope she has the proper people she
needs in her camp that will help HER more than they help
themselves. Can the choir say AAAAMEN?! Praying for
Whitney’s full recovery and return. 1 star, baby, ‘cuz I believe in you.
One of my favorite singers of today –
Jaheim – had a recent brush with the
law…again. This time it happened in his hometown of Hillsborough, NJ. The R&B singer
got pulled over at 30 mph over the speed limit.
When the officers step to the car, a little back
and forth ensued regarding the officers searching his vehicle…perhaps because when they
walked up to his car smoke flew out the window and they thought it was Busta Rhymes.
Anyway, Jaheim’s facing charges of “speeding and marijuana possession.” Oy vey! You
know…he actually wanted to be that Teddy
Pendergrass-Alexander O’Neal type of singer.
But the “industry” wanted to “thug” him out.
Hope they’re happy now. 1 star to Jaheim ‘cuz
I know he’s got the ability to work it out! Plus
this boy can SANG!!!
I haven’t even seen it yet but I’m already
kudo’ing “Death At A Funeral.” This has got
to be one of the funniest movies out today because WE know there is nothing like the drama
at funerals or weddings. Recommend this if
you need a smile. And who doesn’t?! “Death
At A Funeral,” featuring Chris Rock, Martin
Lawrence, Loretta Devine,
Danny Glover and Tracy Morgan. 5 stars to the cast.
Speaking of stars, shouting
out to a few local stars making
serious global moves. Soul
Mello’s Love Therapy tour is
building momentum and is already
in the process of securing dates
across the country as well as overseas. Now THAT’S what I’m
talking about! And Sir Ben Marx
(who’s got to be one of the most
brilliant minds and producers I’ve
ever seen) is rapping up his 2nd
album before he heads back overseas to tour. And rumors are a
hot little butterfly will be shining
on the new project. If you missed
him at the grand opening of The
Rock Shop, you missed an experience! His first CD is “Abstractions of Ben.” Love it!! 3 stars
to the stars.
