The library gives you access to over ten museum passes. Check one out and receive free admission, and, depending on the pass, some other perks. In the past you either needed to call or come to the library to reserve these passes. We are now giving you the ability to reserve passes yourself from home or from your mobile devices. Try it out at www.bethpagelibrary.info/museums. All you need is your library card number! If you have any questions, or would prefer to reserve by phone, please call us at 516-931-3907. www.BethpageLibrary.info Art Exhibits Reference Desk Art in the Library Gallery From The Reference Desk September in Gallery & Display Case Artist Barbara Lewin by Janet Steiniger, Head of Reference Media: Acrylic Description: Landscape paintings October in Gallery Syosset Camera Club Description: Photography October in Lobby Display Case Artist Adel Balsamo Description: Italian Heritage & 9/11 New Museum Pass: The library has purchased a pass for the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Long Island, located in Glen Cove. The museum is the largest and most eminent Holocaust resource on Long Island, and its library has a vast resource of Holocaust materials. The museum also offers lectures, films and author events. The pass will admit up to 4 adults, and anyone under the age of 18. For further information or to reserve this pass, contact the Reference Desk. Please note that in order to take advantage of our museum passes, you must be a Bethpage card holder (courtesy cards are not valid). The library is committed to providing a variety of passes to suit the many interests of our patrons. We welcome suggestions and will look into any that are made. However, some of the museums do not partner with libraries to provide passes. In other instances, some museum subscription prices are high, and for that reason, we may purchase only one pass. On a positive note, most passes always include more than one adult admission, and usually admission for some children, helping to defray the user’s cost should they have a large group. We hope this addresses some of your questions and concerns, but please call the Reference Desk if you have any others. You can find a complete list of museum passes and reserve a pass online by going to www.bethpagelibrary.info/museums. You may also pick up a list of passes and reserve a pass at the Reference Desk.
